My copywriting career started when I was sat in an interview for a buying assistant position. After hearing what the job entailed, my enthusiasm was at rock bottom. So to try and salvage any hopes of job satisfaction I asked whether there was any writing involved (this hadn't been in my preparation notes). Suffice to say, some tumbleweed promptly blew past and the interview was cut short. But I then knew what I had to do.
