Steve has spent most of his career in the telecommunications and IT industry, working in account management, business development, corporate communications, product marketing and sales. He is also skilled at event management and has created, managed and presented high profile events at the iconic BT Tower.

Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with the Finance, Retail, Media, Charity, Leisure and Government sectors.

As well as the corporate world, Steve has worked in a business development role for a Royal Navy charity that provides advice and guidance to those leaving the service and wishing to settle in civilian life; the charity is run from on-board HMS Belfast.

Latterly, Steve has been working for a recruitment consultancy specialising in finding new employment opportunities for ex-military people. This has involved CV writing, interview coaching, presentation skills training and psychometric profiling.

Steve's experience in the business world means that he is adept at creating great copy including web content, sales enablement collateral, how to sell guides, customer datasheets, scripted PowerPoint packs, pricing guides and communicating this information to the teams that need to use it via structured training programmes.

In 2017, as part of his personal development, Steve completed a PhD in English Literature at Anglia Ruskin University. This was the culmination of seven years’ research and he expects to publish parts of his work over the coming years.

Steve has decided to focus entirely on his writing skills and so he is now a full-time Professional Copywriter.
