Profile

I'm an award-winning journalist and former content director at a digital marketing agency.

I've worked on anything from ad copy and product pages, ebooks and whitepapers, to news articles, interviews and in-depth features.

I graduated from the University of York with first class honours in English literature and modern history in 1995. I spent 15 years in journalism before joining digital marketing agency Further in the summer of 2012 as Engagement Director - advising on content marketing, content strategy and social media engagement. The agency won a UK RAR Digital Award for content strategy in 2014. I became a consultant in January 2016 and continue to work closely with the agency on major client campaigns.

My experience in journalism spans regional and national newspapers and I won awards for my work as business editor of the Eastern Daily Press, the country’s biggest-selling regional morning paper. My portfolio includes interviews with Tony Blair and many of his Cabinet colleagues during New Labour’s term in office through to captains of industry and stars of stage and screen.

I now contribute to The Guardian Tech & Media Network ((http://www.theguardian.com/profile/paul-hill), Brand Republic's Wall Blog and the Content Marketing Institute in the US.
