You’ve spent all Winter cooped up indoors, your only taste of Summer being your regular Indee Hot Yoga sessions. With the wonderful long, hot, days we have been having, haven’t you done enough sweating in pursuit of health and wellbeing? Isn’t it crazy to walk from stifling heat into an even hotter studio?

Not a bit! In fact the Summer months are a great time to carry on practising your hot yoga. We know that it’s very tempting to skip a class or two when the sun is shining, but regular hot yoga can actually help you enjoy the Summer more.

No-one is denying that hydration is critical to our overall health and wellbeing. Water makes up between 60 – 80% of our bodyweight, depending on our age, and drinking water helps with energy levels and brain function. It prevents overheating, headaches and migraines, and it can even help with weight loss.

But when you’re getting your sweat on during a hot yoga session hydration becomes not just important, but crucial to prevent dizziness, nausea, fatigue and muscle cramp – the infamous “yogi hangover”.
