NEED: Regent Gas is a privately owned commercial gas supplier providing natural gas, connection and metering services to UK businesses. To coincide with its 10th anniversary, the company was to launch an all-new website and approached Marcom Words for SEO copywriting. ACTION: Following initial competitor and keyphrase research, the development of a brand identity guide was proposed to confirm company mission, personality and core values and to set new graphic design guidelines, including logo, iconography, fonts and use of colour. On completion of the brand identity guide, website page hierarchy was defined and SEO’d copywriting provided for an all-new 12-page website. This included the specification of multiple forms, for requesting quotations, site works, meter reading entries and display. Project management of the design and development of the new Regent Gas website followed, firmly based on the new brand identity guide. This was later complemented with letter templates, email signatures and company profile. IMPACT: Regent Gas now has a modern, forward-looking brand identity which rightly reflects the business’s standing in the UK commercial gas sector and resonates with its rapidly growing business customer base. It has a website that is concise, easy to navigate and optimised for the most important industry search terms. The brand identity guide is ensuring complete consistency in the look and feel of Regent’s marketing communications, both in-print and on-line.
