Web copy for Doug Pittman Wedding Photography

About this project

Copy for the introductory section of a new website, capturing Doug’s brand, personality, and approach to wedding photography. Doug needed an impactful piece selling his wedding photography service and his personal approach, attracting prospective customers and setting him apart from his competition. After interviewing Doug I wrote copy that he felt summed him up perfectly and stood as an important headline piece on his new website.

Congratulations on your engagement! Planning a wedding is such an exciting time, and choosing a photographer is one of the most important decisions, making sure you feel at ease and capture the memories you want on the day.

I always say you have to remember your wedding is about you, the two people making a lifelong commitment to each other; everything else is icing on the (wedding) cake. This should be reflected in your photos. I love bringing out the individual personalities and characters of the bride and groom, from formal portraits and set-up shots, to spontaneous laughter, the real tear-jerkers, and the quirky personal details others might miss.

Happy couples I have worked with have valued how much I put them at ease. Over the months before the wedding I get to know you and what will bring out the best in you, taking away the stress from at least one element of the big day! Every set of wedding images is completely different, tailored to you. We’ll work with what you want (and don’t want) out of your photos, how you react to the camera, and what will fit with your timings, venues and guests.

My images are of beautiful quality; artistic, timeless and long-lasting. They’re also first and foremost about people. What couples love when I deliver their photos is the way I have caught the emotions and interaction between themselves and their family and friends, not just documented the day.

I am all about capturing the moment, those split-seconds in time as people connect. On the wedding day I spend a lot of time listening as much as looking, spotting the spontaneous human flashes of laughter, tears, chatter and reflection – as well as the beautiful details that you’ll have put hours into planning.

At the same time, it’s important to remember that this is your wedding, not a photo-shoot. You’ll find my approach is unobtrusive and doesn’t dictate your day. I won’t let the need to ‘get the shot’ interfere with you enjoying once-in-a-lifetime moments. I know when I’m needed, but also when I’m not.

I offer a range of flexible packages, almost as individual as the happy couple and their big day itself. Let my images do the talking and have a look through my gallery, or get in touch to discuss what you’re after.
