About this project
These days, universities, schools and colleges really have to sell themselves – and the University of East London has a lot to sell. But you wouldn’t have known that by looking at its old website, which was a huge mess of thousands of out-of-date, wordy and boring pages. It needed a new look and a new tone. I was one of a team of copywriters who stepped in for the first phase of its transformation, interviewing academics and students and persuading potential alumni to choose UEL.
