After a career in the banking industry and charity world, I began my copywriting business, Briar Copywriting, in 2007. Initially working as a sole trader, I incorporated in December 2011.
Working with companies of all sizes (from start ups to multinationals and blue chips) I work with them to help them communicate more effectively with their customers.
My clients include BT, Deloitte, Cisco, Thomson Reuters, Deltatre, Danfoss, Imaginative Traveller, Cognito Media, Cyberonics, Stage Technologies and many others.
My clients are local, national and international. Usually I work direct with the client, although I also collaborate with other design agencies.
I write everything from website copy to brochures, newsletters to reports, straplines to slogans and everything else in between.
My skills include a deep understanding of SEO, matching tone of voice to brand, creating vibrant content, refreshing and enhancing existing copy, editing, proofreading and interviewing.
I am also a prolific blogger through both the blog on www.briarcopywriting.com and www.freelancecopywritersblog.com.
I have also written a children's book 'Tilly the Tractor and Freddie the Fire Engine' and a novel called 'Mackerel Skies'.
