Early in 2016 I decided I wanted to leave my digital agency job as a Creative Content Manager and work for myself and be able to take up several opportunities for collaboration that had been coming my way. So, after seven years working across copywriting, traditional PR, social media, SEO content and digital marketing, I decided to hand in my notice and set up on my own. As a result, I now work with a variety of brands and organisations producing copy and content for print and web.
Over the course of my career I have worked client side and agency side across a number of sectors including not for profit, homeware, interior design, film, TV, kidswear, fashion, legal, catering, beauty, and travel to name but a few. I also run my own blog, The Fish Egg, where I write about food, IBS and going dairy-free and I regularly collaborate with social enterprise wehearttech C.I.C. where I’m also a director.
In addition to copywriting I am also a proficient proofreader with a background in proofing PhD theses, student essays (as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University), work produced by colleagues and clients as well as CVs.
