"Bonnie is a gold-mine! Her knowledge is second to none and she's the loveliest human being. She's passionate, articulate, and really goes the extra mile- a brilliant copywriter" Aimee, Creative and Agency Owner, Bath I reckon there are four questions you’re pondering as you’re browsing all these copywriter profiles. You’ll find the answers to all four riiiight here. Pop an email to bonnie@wordsbybonnie.com if there’s another question swirling about your brain which I’ve missed. ONE: Is she any good? This answer to this question is: yes. I am good. It takes 10,000 hours to be an expert in something. I’ve got a big ol’ tick next to ’10,000 hours of writing, reading, and being a massive word nerd’. I haven’t done the exact maths (numbers are not my thing, tbh) but I’ve been devouring books and storytelling since I was little and I’m now just a smidge over 21. The maths is undeniable. Also put a big ol’ tick next to: 2:1 English degree, bylines in national newspapers, writing for household brands, diplomas in copywriting and digital marketing from everywhere, regular CPD, full-time freelance copywriting since 2021, and a whole bunch of 5-star reviews on Google. TWO: Is she available now-ish?Also yes. We could probably have a call in the next 24 hours if you want to book it (see: website link at the bottom of this page). The “how long til the copywriting is done” question very much depends on what kind of writing you need, what it’s for, how much of it, how many rounds of edits, and if you want to pay for a rush fee. We’ll chat about all of that in the discovery call. THREE: How much does she charge?Less than I’m worth but more than you think. Again, the answer to this question depends on what you want. After we chat I’ll put a proposal together for you. There will be three bespoke packages at three different price points based on what we discussed in the discovery call. I can tell you that I charge a day rate of £425 and I work out how much to charge you based on how many days the project’s going to take. I can handle that much maths, at least. FOUR: How does it work?Ok, it’s really simple but there are a bunch of steps. So, lemme walk you through it. The first step is having a 20ish-minute discovery call to discuss the project, the deadline, the budget, and copy specificsI’ll write a bespoke proposal. Once you accept one, I’ll send a contract and an invoice for 50% of the feeYou complete a questionnaire about your business, tone of voice, and goals. We lock down the briefI start writing, researching, and refining your first draft and send it by the pre-agreed deadlineYou get a full week to review the copy and send me written feedbackI’ll make all the edits and revisions and send you draft two. (This is when the final invoice is due, by the way)Your copy is ready to copy, paste, upload, and share wherever you want it to go! Were those your four questions? They were, weren’t they? Yes! I knew it!

I'm a beauty and health copywriter, ghostwriter and journalist with 10 years' experience. I approach storytelling like a journalist and commercial strategy like a marketer. My portfolio includes: L'Oréal, Sciton, Eucalyptus, Freesoul, Rimmel, Dr Sam's, The Skin Diary, The Body Shop, Project E, Allure, Marie Claire, Glamour, and plenty of other gems. Sure, I can write about most topics, but beauty and aesthetics are my beat. If you want a copywriter you don't need to explain retinoids to, I'm your gal. Let's chat about: Emails that convert, ads that sell, articles that get read, SEO/GEO that gets seen and packaging copy that stands out. __ Selling is only hard when you forget to be a human🌞 Some nice words from clients: "We place a strong emphasis on brand messaging, and Tori has been exceptional in crafting content that truly resonates with our brand, vision, and customers. She quickly grasped our brand's tone of voice and consistently brings unique and valuable insights from her background as a journalist. Tori has proven to be an invaluable member of our team, and we look forward to continuing our work with her." "Tori is one of the greatest beauty writers I have ever come across in all my time of working in the aesthetic industry. She is efficient, so on top of it, and anyone would be lucky to have her writing for them. Her attention to detail is like no other, and I can truly testify that she is one of the best in the industry."

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by - my name is Emily Haddington and I'm a senior copywriter and UX writer with more than a decade of experience writing for small to medium companies, start-ups and household brands. I'm also the co-founder of anti-AI human creative agency, Haddington & Haddington. Some of my clients have included HSBC, JP Morgan, Vodafone, P&G, TUI, Aquafresh, Taylor Wimpey, Microsoft, Google and Expedia. Sure, I'm a generalist - but to my mind, a good copywriter should be able to write about literally anything. I'm the co-founder of Haddington & Haddington, a Suffolk-based agency offering copywriting, design and UX writing services. I run the agency with my husband, David Haddington - an extremely talented web, digital, print and UX/UI designer. (He does a bloomin' good illustration, too). Copywriting I have a wealth of writing experience across a huge variety of sectors. Whether it's creating product descriptions for a small online start-up selling caravan upholstery, or UX copy for mortgage products for household names like HSBC, I can help with any project. Big or small, B2B or B2C. I've helped small local companies in Suffolk to sell more honey by improving their landing page copy, and I've given Marriott Hotels its key tagline for the naming of a luxury new hotel in Budapest. Whatever the copywriting challenge, I'm here to take it on! UX Writing Many copywriters say they're UX writers, but they don't have any UX background or design reputation to back it up. UX writing involves more than being able to write micro-copy for a button, or knowing your way around a wireframe. My agency is fully accredited by qualifications from the UX Design Institute, and we perform user testing and UX research alongside content design. I know the UX design process inside out - from user surveys and competitive benchmarking at the start, through to user flow analysis, affinity diagrams and customer journey mapping, and then user flows, wireframing and prototyping. I've been involved in UX writing projects for large brands such as JP Morgan/Chase, Vodafone and HSBC. AI-to-human copywriting services I’ll take your copy and strip out all the filler, AI buzzwords and jargon. What you’ll get is writing with a warmer tone, clear purpose, and a voice that truly reflects your brand. Get in touch with me today at emily@haddingtoncreative.com

In energy and B2B tech, the most innovative products are often the hardest to communicate. I help buyers understand how your solution solves business challenges. Whether I’m working with you on thought leadership content, website copy, or a case study, my strategic approach begins where your solution and customer priorities intersect. Here's how I can help you: ✅ Thought leadership content that turns your technical expertise into articles, white papers, and LinkedIn content that builds trust and recognition with buyers. ✅ Case studies that show how your solution works in the real world and the difference it’s made for your customers. ✅ Strategic Copywriting that helps buyers see why your solution is right for them in web pages, landing pages, and promotional copy. I specialise in: ✅ B2B tech & SaaS brands: Writing on topics that include IT consultancy, cybersecurity, and IT architecture. ✅ Energy sector and renewables: Writing on topics that include retail energy pricing, energy capacity markets, demand flexibility, integration (iPaaS), and grid connection backlogs. With more than eight years’ experience working with energy and B2B tech businesses, I combine strong sector knowledge with a strategic background. Clients value my: ✅ Clear, straightforward writing that helps buyers understand your expertise and value ✅ Strategic thinking grounded in your customers’ challenges and priorities ✅ Ability to quickly get to grips with complex topics ✅ Reliability and, in the words of one client, being ‘genuinely easy to work with’ Here’s what clients say it's like to work with me: “Sarah is a detail-oriented writer whose creativity and writing style boost our ability to transform our technical solution content and expertise working with utilities worldwide into meaningful thought leadership stories and technical blog posts." Frederik ten Sythoff, VP Market Engagement, Greenbird IT (Now Part of GE Vernova) "It’s been a pleasure working with Sarah during her time with us as paternity leave cover. Sarah consistently delivered high-quality written work, often with only minimal briefing. She adapted to our tone and style with impressive speed and was always receptive to feedback, turning around amends promptly. On top of that, she’s punctual, communicative, and genuinely easy to work with — a great asset to any content team!" Guste Stephens, Head of Marketing, Gorilla Energy Data Applications "I had the pleasure of working with Sarah for six months during the lead-up to our Green Coding Summit, and I can't recommend her enough. Sarah has an incredible talent for translating complex topics into clear, engaging content that resonates with a broad audience. Brand Positioning / Message Clarity / Narrative Strategy / Tone of Voice / Big Ideas ___ Call me a narrative strategist. A clarity consultant. Or just a copywriter. Whatever the label, the job’s the same: helping people understand why your business is brill. Not the best at explaining yourself? I’ll help people understand why you’re good at what you do. ______________________________________________________________ WHAT THEY SAY “Lee offers creative and clever solutions. Our copy looks slick and grabs attention. Give him your money.” – Matt, Kimpton "“Lee is really excellent at what he does and is an absolute pleasure to work with.” – Emily, EAT Landscape “From the start, Lee has worked hard to understand the organisation and really get us. The way he wrote about the work we do and the sensitivity to the people we support has been great throughout.” – Ellie, YMCA Together ____ I’ve loved the written word for as long as I can remember. Mind you, I’ve distrusted it since I misspelt ‘February’ in a school competition, aged 9. One missing letter cost me first place and a giant Easter egg. I carried that love (and healthy distrust of spellings) into my first marketing role as a commercial copywriter for a leading Liverpool radio station. Nothing teaches you how much brands like to waffle quite like writing radio ads. Be short, sharp and clear or immediately forgotten. Over the next decade and a half, I worked for several other well-known media companies as a copywriter, content strategist, head of sales and commercial director. During that time, I realised most businesses don’t struggle because they lack expertise. They struggle because they explain themselves badly. That’s where my experience – and lifelong love of writing – comes in.

As a business owner or senior leader, you've built something worth talking about. The problem is finding the time and the right words to shout about it in a way that speaks to people in the right tone of voice. I work with established B2B businesses that are really good at what they do, but don't always sound like it. My job is to get under the skin of your business, understand what makes you different, and turn that into copy and content that actually works. I'm also a bit of a strategy nerd, so I like to dig into the strategic thinking that ties it all together. I spent over five years writing for an internationally syndicated print magazine, which taught me how to research properly, ask the questions other people miss, and write in a way that keeps people reading. This helped to shape my style and how I work. I'm based in Margate, Kent, but I work with clients across the UK.

I write copy that creates a vision of the future in the mind of the reader — because that’s the key to turning browsers into buyers. Let's get the boring guff out of the way first. I'm sure you want to know what I can do for you, rather than who I am. I'm a professional copywriter from Newcastle upon Tyne who specialises in website and marketing content. As a former newspaper journalist, I also write engaging press releases I know will make it past editorial teams. I've been known to dabble in email, social media, and newsletter copywriting projects, too! While I'm a creative writer at heart, I'm able to pay the bills by delivering outcome-focused copy that connects with target audiences. OK, that's all the housekeeping out of the way. Who is Malcolm Cox? Good question. I'm one of life's creatives. I always have been. While I have absolutely no art skills to speak of, my creativity comes in the form of the written word. I read obsessively at school. And as is often the way, I wrote obsessively, too. When it was time to think of careers, I decided to become a journalist specialising in politics. So, in September 1994, I enrolled on a politics course at Northumbria University. And in December 1994, I decided it wasn't for me. That's when I decided to cut straight to the chase. I reached out to multiple local newspapers in North East England for work experience opportunities. And after getting several articles published as a 'civilian', I applied for a place on the NCTJ Newspaper Journalism course. After around a year as a junior reporter, I became disillusioned. While I once imagined myself as a hotshot investigative journalist – fighting to uncover the truth and tackle injustice wherever it lay – the reality was very different. My average day consisted of court reporting (with daily threats of violence), vox pops, and press release editing. So, I decided to take a 15-year sabbatical while I pursued a career in retail and hospitality. In 2012, I quit my job. I just walked out. I sat in my car and pondered the existential crossroads that lay in front of me. Drive away, and I was on my own – and probably blacklisted from the industry. Stay, and a little part of my soul would continue to die every day. I drove away. Copywriting was tough at first. I risked bankruptcy by taking on the smallest, most menial tasks and charging pennies for the privilege. But things got better. I amassed a good client base. And I did it through a handful of freelancer websites and word of mouth. But AI changed everything. Having made a very good living on the likes of Fiverr and UpWork, it soon became apparent that I'd have to increase my online presence to survive. So, here I am. In preservation mode. But I get the sense that I'm with friends. One good thing to come from the emergence of AI is the fact that only genuinely talented copywriters will continue to earn decent money. And from what I can see, most of them are right here in the Pro Copywriters community. As for what I can do, I'll share some of my portfolio over the coming days. For now, give me a tinkle or drop me a message if you need the kind of content that paints a vivid picture in the mind of your customers. What I Do While I call myself a copywriter for marketing purposes, I guess I consider myself a storyteller. Most of my work is website copywriting, but I've turned my hand to many forms of writing over the years. I've written email copy, social media copy, white papers, company bios, product descriptions, UX copy, brand books, and much more. But like I said, I'm a storyteller at heart. I take the time to immerse myself in the worlds of my clients – as well as the minds of my readers. I know how to create content that resonates with specific demographic groups. But most importantly, I understand the emotional triggers that underly most conversions. So, if you're ready to tell YOUR story, let's talk. Give me a tinkle on 07386 704 956.
