Corporate Memberships: new from ProCopywriters

Since our beginning in 2012, ProCopywriters has been striving to bring commercial writers together, to advance our profession and champion fair pay. And while we’ve done a decent job of supporting freelance writers, we haven’t done much to include in-house or agency writers.

But since I took over in 2016, I’ve been eager to expand the reach of ProCopywriters and create ways for companies to interact with us, and make use of our organisation.

We’re now launching Corporate memberships, so that companies can join and share the benefits of membership with their writing, advertising, marketing, PR and communications teams.

The benefits for companies

Companies can use ProCopywriters in the same way that our individual members do, but with some additional benefits designed to support teams.

Promotion – membership includes a listing in our company directory, use of our blogging platform and content sharing on Facebook and Twitter. And you can share copywriting events and workshops on our Events page.

Networking – with 800 registered copywriters, our network is a great way to connect with your peers.

Learning – with a Corporate membership, your team can access our bi-monthly webinars and get discounted tickets to our annual Copywriting Conference.

Growing – Advertise permanent and freelance positions on our job board.

The benefits for freelance copywriters

By incorporating in-house writing teams and writing agencies, we can help you connect with potential clients. We’re hoping that our Corporate members also contribute to our blog, share their knowledge through webinars and become an active part of our thriving community.

The benefits for ProCopywriters

Right now, ProCopywriters is operated by a handful of talented freelancers, who do a fantastic job of keeping our website running, publishing our articles, and building our communities on Twitter and Facebook.

Looking ahead, we would like to have a permanent employee who can take ownership of the overall running of the operation, and also develop plans for our future. Without a permanent employee, our organisation relies on having a director with capacity to oversee the organisation in their spare time; clearly not a sustainable approach to managing a professional association.

We hope that involving in-house copywriters and agency teams will infuse our organisation with new ideas, new opportunities and greater potential for ProCopywriters to support commercial writers everywhere.
