And many of these are completely free.

The ProCopywriters Blog

With 978 articles (and counting!) by several hundred different copywriters, the ProCopywriters blog is loaded with advice, ideas and inspiration. The articles cover everything you could want to know about writing copy, finding freelance work and managing your career.

We’re also developing books that compile the best advice from our epic blog. In the meantime, here are three modern classics:

How to write a homepage that captures your customers’ attention – by Ben McKinney

Copywriters, we need to talk about ROI – by Felicity Wild

10 of the best start-out tips for freelance copywriters – by Alexandra Crossley

Annual survey

For the past few years we’ve asked hundreds of copywriters to tell us all about their live and work, including the hard facts about their income. These comprehensive reports are all free to download. The contents might give you a fresh perspective on the reality of being a copywriter, and also suggest additional ways to develop your professional life.

Copywriting workshops

ProCopywriters workshops cover many different bases. We’ve had sessions on SEO, persuasion, headline writing, pitching, social media strategy and PPC campaigns.

Our Ask the Copywriter sessions are essentially a live version of the Member Spotlight articles. And they’re equally fascinating as a way to understand what it’s like to be a copywriter, while getting to know some of the people you know as Twitter or LinkedIn profiles.

Past workshop recordings

Okay, so this one is for ProCopywriters members only. But we’ve just reintroduced a monthly membership (£9.99 / month) which gives you access to our library of 50+ past sessions.

We’ve started adding older CopyCon talks to this collection too – so you can also enjoy all the talks from CopyCon 2020. We’ll add the CopyCon 2021 talks around September 2022.

Visit your ProCopywriters dashboard (you’ll need to sign in)

CopyCon is one of the few professional conferences dedicated exclusively to commercial writing. The talks are always great, but the most powerful thing about these events is the joy of being surrounded by people who get it. Just for one day, you can be surrounded by people who understand what you do – and love to talk about it!

After two years of virtual events, we can’t wait to see everyone in person.

Copywriting training sessions

For the last few years we’ve offered standalone training sessions at each CopyCon. These training days offer more detailed learning on specific copywriting topics.

This year we have:

Getting Attention and Engagement with Your B2B Writing – with Tim Tucker

Why Your Content Marketing Isn’t Working – and How to Fix It – with Kerstin Reichert

Recharge Your Creativity – with Nick Parker

Watch Your Tone – with Sonder & Tell
