Badges are coming to ProCopywriters. Here’s why.

On the internet, nobody knows you’re a dog.

Anonymity is great, but the internet’s intense opacity can make life difficult for professionals who need to establish trust.

As a professional copywriter, there are times when you need to prove your credentials, or demonstrate your learning and development.

With this in mind, we’ve been working on a new badge system to make our credentials more robust and more meaningful.

Rather than simply issuing members with membership graphics, we’re adopting a new system that uses the OpenBadge protocol devised by Mozilla. These badges are commonly used by universities, training providers and professional associations.

Here’s a test badge. If you click the badge you’ll see information about the credential:

In the coming months we’ll launch these new membership badges, as well as badges for CopyCon attendees:
