I write web content, social media updates, white papers, blog posts and adverts for startups, small businesses, corporations and government agencies.
Much of my work is for the web, and I'm particularly interested in content marketing, content strategy, SEO, social media and emerging technologies.
When I write for clients I focus on the end user, and what we can do for them. Copy should enable, encourage, entice and persuade customers to take action, not just look pretty or sound nice. Nice is never enough.
When I'm not writing copy for clients I get involved with initiatives to support other copywriters and freelancers. This includes directing ProCopywriters and organising the Copywriting Conference.
In 2008 I wrote Brilliant Freelancer, which was published by Pearson.
