I've not always chosen the easiest path, in fact, you could argue I fight losing battles for a living.
I spent my undergrad years trying to explain the difference between linguistics and logistics and now spend my time explaining that as a copywriter, I don't actually get paid to copy other people's work.
Worse yet, my parents could tell you exactly which hospital wards my nurse-minded younger sister has walked upon but still can't really explain to the neighbours EXACTLY what it is I do meaning I'm looked upon as the deluded, struggling writer with lofty illusions of literary fame.
As a child I read everything. Much like Roald Dahl's Matilda, I loved school and, after all hopes of becoming an architect were dashed by a rather cutting maths teacher, I stuck to what I was good at. Add a dash of punctuation pedantry into the mix and that pretty much explains how I got here.
Currently working for a digital agency in Preston, Lancashire, I'm proud to tell folk that I get paid to write. My days consist of SEO, blogs, tweets, scripts and trade articles At present, I'd say my niche area was motoring. Move aside, Suzi Perry.
