I loved writing my own, my very own ‘Benifesto’. And I love creating them for clients.

They’re a great place to get down the beliefs a business holds, and how these beliefs shape your approach. They’re a stake in the ground, your flag. Something for people to rally behind as your business begins to grow.

They also make super nice, sharable content 🙌🏼.

Write your own manifesto

My process for creating a manifesto contains 3 (fairly) easy stages.

What makes you you

1️⃣ Start by defining your values. What do you believe in? What makes you different?

Scream into the void

2️⃣ Then comes an opportunity to rant a bit about the things that wind you up about your industry and how you’d like to make that part of the world a better place. Let it all out. This is not the time to hold back.

Dream a little dream

3️⃣ Finally, think about the future and what you’d like your business to achieve. No limiters. Release the handbrake and dream.

There’s no need to overthink or edit too much at this point. Just get down anything you think of in as much or as little time as you want. Just be as honest with yourself as you can be, and

You’ll be amazed at what comes out. And at the end of it all, you’ll have the raw material to create your own manifesto.

Here’s The Benifesto👇. And here are some other brilliant examples of customer focussed manifestos.

PS: If you want your own (you can’t call it a Benifesto. Unless your name is also Ben, I suppose) then contact me for a free discovery call. And if you decide to have a go yourself, please share it with me. I’d love to see what you come up with 😃.
