Who can join ProCopywriters?
Membership is open to all aspiring and professional writers who are in the UK, or who serve the UK market.
How do I become a member?
Join ProCopywriters here. We offer two membership levels for individuals, Basic and Pro, and several tiers for Corporate members.
- Basic gives you a directory listing and access to our forum – but your profile will be less visible than Pro members (we recommend the Pro membership for any copywriter who is looking for work).
- Pro gives you all the same benefits as basic membership, plus priority listing in our directory, an integrated portfolio on your listing where you can upload images and samples of your work, a link to your own website and exclusive offers and discounts – including a discount on your ticket to our copywriting conference.
- Corporate memberships are designed for organisations and agencies that want to give their employees access to the benefits of membership, such as our learning and development webinars and our Copywriting Conference
How do I submit a blog post?
Via your dashboard (which is only available to members). But before you do, make sure you read our blogging guidelines. They should answer any questions you have about what we’re after, and the blog submission process.
Our site runs on WordPress, so if you’re familiar with that platform, you should find it easy to send us your article.
We only publish blog posts that meet our requirements for length, topic and quality.
Can I republish a post from my blog?
Yes, as long as it meets our requirements for length, topic and quality. We may ask you to add more detail to it, or edit it down.
If you submit a republished post, include a link at the end that says something like, ‘This post was originally published at Cracking Copywriting‘.
How do I update my profile?
Visit your dashboard and click the link there to edit your profile.
How do I add portfolio items to my profile?
Only Pro members can add portfolio items. Visit your dashboard, click the link and follow the on-screen instructions.
How do I link to my website?
Only Pro members can link to their own websites. Once you upgrade to Pro, this field will be available in your profile.
How do I cancel my membership?
If you want to upgrade, downgrade, pause or cancel your membership, please visit your dashboard and head to the ‘Manage Account’ section.
Can I promote my job opportunity/event on your site?
Pro and Corporate members can share events, and Corporate members can publish job ads.
Can you recommend a copywriter for my project?
We can’t recommend individual copywriters, but if you search our directory you should find someone suitable for your needs.
