Sample text (from Group CEO statement)

Our ambitious strategy and transformation agenda for 2024
yielded positive results, with an eight per cent increase in core
revenue and a six per cent rise in profits. We also achieved
significant milestones in expanding our geographical and client
reach, securing landmark deals, and closing a well-diversified
funding transaction, with nearly half of the tickets originating from
outside the MENA region.
This success came despite challenging global conditions, including
high interest rates, inflationary pressures, economic slowdown,
capital markets volatility, and rising geopolitical tensions. Against
this volatile backdrop, GCC banks have benefitted from favourable
regional economic conditions underpinned by the progress in
transformation plans, robust project pipeline, and healthy private
sector demand.
Throughout this period, the GIB Group demonstrated resilience,
supported by strong capital buffers, liquidity, and government
backing, positioning us to adapt and thrive in a changing
environment. While we may be a relatively small bank, our
strength lies in our client-centric approach, resilient business
model, and unique geographical reach.
A notable example of our expanding reach was the opening
of new wholesale banking branch in Muscat, Oman, marking a
significant milestone in GIB’s GCC expansion strategy. In 2024,
the Group also successfully executed several complex financial
transactions for key clients in regional markets.
In addition to our strategic priorities, our success is driven by
investment in people, technology and sustainability.
