I've been doing this for fifteen years, which means I've seen a few algorithm updates come and go. What hasn't changed? The need for copy that actually sounds like it was written by a person. I bring together copper-bottomed writing and search visibility: articles, patient guides, service pages, email. I write them, and I handle the SEO so they actually get found by the people who need them.

Most of my work sits in healthcare, legal and financial services, where accuracy isn't optional and trust is everything. I also offer native German-to-English translation, which means I think about language switching more than most.

Here's the thing, though: what influences my writing most isn't the fifteen years in digital. It's the two years I spent as a paediatric sleep consultant, working one-to-one with over a hundred families. That taught me how people actually read when they're worried, tired or overwhelmed. It's made me a better writer across the board; I know how to hold a reader's hand without slowing them down.

These days, I spend time in Search Console, Ahrefs and Ubersuggest. Not because I love dashboards; I don't. But the data tells me what people are searching for before they ever pick up the phone. Trained in AI ethics and holding an Ahrefs certification, I'm genuinely interested in how AI is changing search, and how we keep the human layer intact.
