Video Hooks for Zohar Entertainment

I was tasked with writing and presenting video intros for Zohar Ancient Discoveries — a YouTube channel with over 500,000 subscribers known for its UFO, paranormal and ancient mystery content.

The goal was to create punchy, high-retention openings that immediately hooked viewers while making complex, information-heavy topics feel entertaining and accessible.

My writing style leaned into energetic delivery, conversational humour and suspense-driven storytelling — something that also translated naturally into my on-camera presentation style throughout the series.

My strategy included:

• Rhetorical questions — encouraging viewers to feel personally involved in the mystery.
• Wordplay and vivid language — bringing colour and personality to dense informational content.
• Foreshadowing — teasing discoveries and revelations later in the video to maintain viewer retention.
• Humour and conversational delivery — helping establish warmth, trust and a sense of community with the audience.

The objective was to humanise what could otherwise feel like a cold, overly informational series of videos. Viewer feedback frequently praised the charisma and accessibility of the intros, helping the channel attract a younger demographic of subscribers while increasing audience engagement.
