I’ve been in the media, copywriting and editorial business for a decade, working with third-sector and trade organisations, SMEs, startups and some global brands.

The kinds of services I offer include:

Communications and content strategy
Articles and blogs
Whitepapers, reports, and policy analysis and creation
Ghostwriting
Newsletters
Email campaigns
Research and data storytelling
Interviewing and advertorials

I offer my clients evidence-based, original, interesting storytelling that can beat the algorithm to build connections with your audience.

I’m a subject matter specialist in sustainability, science, future of work, DEI, skills and employability, technology (SaaS, automation and AI), business and finance, and cities/ruralism.

I like building long-term relationships with clients and put every effort into understanding and evolving their organisation or brand. If you are looking for a freelancer who you can work with long-term, I’m your person!

A bit about my professional history…

As a journalist, I penned articles for Forbes, Monocle, Pioneers Magazine, CityMetric (New Statesman), Inside Housing, InMotion Magazine (Jaguar), OnOffice, Design Exchange, Underpinned Magazine, IRU, Reclaim Magazine, Positive News, HERE360, and This Earth & I, to name a few.

On the more commercial side, I’ve ghostwritten or created bylined blogs and articles for companies like Thrive Wearables, HERE360, Attollo, Warwick University Business School, Aptem, and iResearch Services (working client-side with global organisations).

I’ve been at the content and comms helm at Aptem, producing all their newsletters, articles, whitepapers, and eLearning and contributing to social media. I’ve also worked the comms beat at the Health Anchors Learning Network.

I’ve collaborated with agencies such as Spoon, WriteArm, HROC, Iris Worldwide and iResearch, providing the range of editorial services.

I also have a strong research background, with a PhD and a history of academic and commercial research. I’ve written four non-fiction books. That makes me great at writing long form content like whitepapers, reports, policy analysis and data storytelling.

In my spare time…

I listen to music and podcasts, and like reading fiction and non-fiction. I’m a fan of off-grid living and the tiny homes movement. I cook and grow veg.

I’m active in my community, moderating forums and advocating for diversity and experimental cultures.
