4-year content partnership with Nordcloud
Nordcloud is a European leader in cloud advisory, migration, application modernisation, development, managed services and training.
We were initially approached by the Chief Growth Officer, who was building a mature marketing function for this fast-growing company. He wanted to build out content-driven campaigns to generate leads and help the company achieve ambitious sales goals.
At the same time, we were tasked with copy for a major website overhaul. The new, 65-page website needed to be live within 3 months, in time for the key CloudExpo event.
We coordinated with a vast stakeholder group to frame the content strategy and determine the best way to position Nordcloud services and solutions on the new website.
Since the launch of the new website, Gunning Marketing has acted as Nordcloud’s content team as part of the core marketing function, supporting a range of campaigns on topics aimed at CTOs and CIOs of companies at various levels of cloud maturity. We have also supported with partner marketing activities across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
In the first year, Nordcloud’s marketing function exceeded revenue generation target by 138%. Importantly, marketing activity has generated deals from a wide variety of sources – from inbound marketing and the website, as well as from specialised campaigns. What’s more, the company’s salespeople have used marketing assets we created to win new business.
By scaling the marketing function to a new level of maturity, we demonstrated to the business that marketing can drive fundamental ROI.
4 years later, our relationship with Nordcloud is ongoing. We’ve been involved in dozens of campaigns, including on cloud migration, application modernisation, cloud upskilling, Kubernetes, data and AI – helping create content strategies, e-books, videos, blog posts, case studies and more.
