Blogging to be Read
Blogs are one of the most effective ways of building your brand, finding an audience and building relationships with your customers.
But, there’s no point having a blog if nobody wants to read it.
On one hand, you may have a completely terrible blog that tells people nothing about who you are, what you do, or how you go about your business. In that case, you’ve wasted your time and energy.
On the other hand, you may have an absolutely outstanding blog, but nobody knows about it. In that case, well, you’ve wasted your time and energy.
My CopyCon course is going to help my delegates with three things when it comes to blogging:
- Ideas and concepts to write about – when you’re lacking in inspiration
- Structures to follow – when you don’t know where to start
- Reasons to commit – when you just don’t think blogging really works or matters, and you don’t understand why people aren’t engaging with you
Our training day (10am – 4pm) will be split into a morning and an afternoon session, with plenty of interaction and breaks throughout.
In the morning session, we’re going to explore 12 different concepts that are perfect to delve into when you’re looking to produce beautifully written blogs that people will want to read, engage with and share. I practice what I preach, so I’ll be sharing examples of my own blogs that fit each concept and serve as a ‘rough guide’ for structure. I’ll also be asking my delegates to examine their own blogging history – and begin creating their future content.
In the afternoon session, we’re going to look at ways in which we can sharpen up our writing techniques to create seriously stunning blogs, get our pieces web-ready, and make sure that we position our blogs so that people feel compelled to click on that link to read more.
