Freelance Success Strategies
You might know how to write. And you might know how to write good copy. But that doesn’t mean you know how to run a successful freelance copywriting business.
Many copywriters start freelancing because they can’t find a full-time copywriting job. Because they’ve always wanted to be their own boss. Or because they want to fit copywriting around other responsibilities.
If you work 2,000 hours per year (allowing a bit of time off for Christmas and holidays), you’ll only be writing about half that time. The other 1,000 hours will be spent dealing with marketing, business management and finance. Work that doesn’t generate income. That sounds dull. But it’s essential.
