Every year, we ask copywriters across the UK to tell us about their professional life (read the ProCopywriters Survey 2025) and their working practices.
This year we’ve used the survey results to help us identify the learning and development needs that copywriters need most in 2026:
- strategy
- confidence
- creativity
- AI
- and the business side of copywriting.
What you told us in the 2025 Copywriter Survey
Across the survey, three themes came through loud and clear:
1. You want stronger strategic and consultancy skills
Many copywriters told us they’re being asked for more than just “words”:
- advice
- clarity
- messaging frameworks
- content strategy
- brand positioning
- and senior-level thinking.
You asked for training that helps you step up – and go beyond being paid to write.
2. You’re unsure how to adapt to AI without losing your identity or value
For many of us, AI is now part of our working practices, yet most respondents said they feel:
- unclear on best practice
- worried about client expectations
- confused about copyright and disclosure
- and keen to use AI effectively without compromising their voice or creativity.
3. Confidence, imposter syndrome, and pricing remain major challenges
Freelancers consistently reported:
- difficulty pricing confidently
- feeling undervalued
- struggling with tricky clients
- and lacking peer support.
So… we made you a learning programme that addresses these challenges, and more.
Introducing the 2026 ProCopywriters Learning Programme
You can now access a full year of high-quality training designed directly from your feedback.
We’ve organised everything into three streams to make it easy to find the sessions that support your goals:
Foundations
Sharpen your craft, build confidence, strengthen your commercial practices.
Strategy & Creativity
Develop strategic thinking, storytelling skills, and senior-level capability.
AI & Innovation
Understand the tools, ethics, workflow opportunities, and future of AI in copywriting.
Each month, we’re running a live workshop led by an experienced trainer or industry specialist – plus optional meetups to connect with fellow copywriters.
Here’s the full line-up.
