My work includes website content and messaging, case studies, blog posts and useful content, articles, website audits, and practical website improvements. I also have specific experience writing for the outdoor, travel and environmental sectors.
I start by understanding the business and the people it’s trying to reach. That means looking at what customers need to know, what the business wants to achieve, and how the website and content can work together. Search is part of that thinking, but the customer comes first.
I’ve worked with small businesses, charities and organisations across the UK and beyond. My background also includes business support and HR, which means I’m interested in the business behind the content as well as the words on the page.
I’m the author of Walking in the Upper Dearne Valley and was commissioned by AA Publishing to contribute to an update of 50 Walks in the Peak District. I’ve also written for magazines and websites and am the founder of Outdoor Girl, an award-winning outdoor adventure website.
Based in West Yorkshire, I work with businesses across the UK and beyond.
