About this project
Recent work has included writing copy for sections of the 'Christmas in Leeds' website. #ChristmasInLeeds is a LeedsBID project designed to guide people around Leeds city centre by showcasing local creative talent and sharing festive moments.
This project is one of many initiatives brought to the city by Leeds Business Improvement District (LeedsBID). I work with the Marketing, Communications & Brand team on a weekly basis. LeedsBID is a business-led, not-for-profit organisation and represents 1,000 organisations.

Except from the website:
“Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a little magic, and there’s nothing more enchanting than meeting the Big Man himself!
Visit the Merrion Centre in the lead up to Christmas and pay a visit to Santa’s Postbox. Running in association with the Merrion Centre Christmas Grotto, delightful elves will be on hand to help with your letter, ensuring it’s sent directly to the North Pole.
On Millennium Square, the Alp Chalet is also open every Saturday and Sunday morning for Santa’s Breakfast Experience. There are free children’s shows and activities every Sunday over the lunch period to keep the kids enthralled.
Over at The Light on The Headrow, The Murmuration Cloud is a fun, interactive installation that swirls overhead. This sound-responsive piece – complete with drum set – responds to volume and pitch with people invited to take to the floor and play the cloud into an explosion of light.
Family-friendly festive performances at venues across Leeds include Aladdin, this year’s captivating Rock ’n’ Roll Panto at City Varieties, and a fantastical adaptation of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe at West Yorkshire Playhouse, running throughout the Christmas period.
Christmas is a time for dreams to come true, so pay a visit to the Trinity Leeds Wishmas Tree. As Europe’s largest Christmas tree, little ones are sure to be delighted. However, make a wish to see 50,000 magical lights illuminate, and it’s a city-centre destination not to be missed.”
