I'm a freelance copywriter, PR and marketing communications consultant. I love working with businesses and organisations who have something different to say and want to say it well.

I can help not only with pitch-perfect words but strategic input and wider comms planning, too. I'll drill down to the core of your product or service and extract the nugget of communications gold that will encourage people to sit up and take notice.

Then I help you decide how and where to shout about it - whether it's online, in the media or in print (or frequently, a combination of all three). That could include websites, landing pages, customer emails, blog posts, case studies, white papers, brochures, feature articles, sales leaflets, advertisements, press releases and social media posts.

I don't just create stuff - I improve it, too. If you're self-publishing a book, or have a weighty report or whitepaper that needs editing or proofreading, just give me a shout. The subject's not important - I've proofed books on serverless architecture and computer game testing as well as phonics books for reception class children. And I edited the UK edition of a book by an internationally-known US investment writer and commentator.

I don't have a market niche and can turn my writing hand to most subjects. But I'm especially interested in working with:

* owner-managed or family businesses where the principals are still the driving force
* purpose-led organisations, charities or co-ops whose values are what it’s all about
* financial planners, advisers or fintechs who put their trust - and their clients’ money - in evidence-based investing strategies
* colleges or universities offering students a different experience to the norm
