Stericycle sustainable waste management case study
This interview-based piece marked a new approach to content marketing for this innovative clinical waste management business. The asset set a new industry standard in the process — and won repeated business for the agency managing the account.
With most of its clients in the NHS, Stericycle used this case study to expand into a new sector (laboratory waste). We then atomised the content to build a campaign across LinkedIn and its website.

“The best case study I’ve ever read”
As the first asset I wrote for this end client — and my first piece for this new agency partner — my challenges included navigating an intensely complex sector, understanding the client’s messaging, and adapting to a fluid content strategy.
To overcome all this, I worked with both teams to:
- Help clarify the brief
- Conduct desk research
- Craft unique questions and send them ahead of the interview
- Brief Stericycle’s account manager on the process
- Interview the end client’s waste manager
The first version was accepted with few edits. This high-impact piece was followed by six more case studies and ongoing content for the brand.

Supporting your growth
As a senior freelance resource, I help agencies solve their content creation problems. In this case, I helped an agency expand its copywriting services to support its ambitious growth.
