TREND Group offer kitchen and bathroom refurbishments and operate as a franchise network. This was a give-away book for a franchisee conference, focusing on 70 ways to generate more leads. Ideas came from various parts of the business and external agencies, so the company needed a consistent editorial tone. The deadline was tight, with some ideas requiring extra content and others needing a different slant to avoid repetition. The client said afterwards: "We needed a copywriter with a marketing background or great knowledge in this area to help create a 100 page lead generation book. Fran made every effort to accommodate our extremely tight deadline, was very efficient in the completion of this project and was able to suggest additional content when copy-editing the articles. The book has a consistent tone throughout which is what we wanted, due to several people having written the articles. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Fran again or recommend her services and the book was well received at our franchise conference."

Working for a below-the-line agency, I created copy for a Christmas email campaign featuring a Spiced Hot Chocolate recipe and designed to entice local business guests to visit the newly re-opened InterContinental Park Lane.

Modular template for a pitch document that would allow Alpha to bid for retailing and catering units in various international airports. The document template combined the bespoke design proposals and rationale for each airport tender with the reasons why Alpha was the best choice of operator. Alpha won this pitch to retain its contracts at Birmingham International Airport, worth £10m

Following on from Dualit's brochure redesign, I went on to write the copy for a new website designed by D3R. This allowed the opportunity for more detail around the company's rich history, and its ethos and brand values. Much of the copy (particularly in the ;our story' section of the site) remains the same 8 years later: see www.dualit.com
PDFWorking in partnership with a graphic design colleague, we were asked by Dualit to redesign the company's brochure and product cards (a requirement for retailers like John Lewis). The previous brochure was divided into professional catering products (Dualit's heritage) and consumer products and was copy-heavy. Our approach was to get under the skin of Dualit as a brand, define it's core brand values and use these as the basis of the new brochure. This put the company's catering expertise at the heart of all its products. The copy was pared back and balanced by great product and food photography. Individual product cards were designed to sit alongside the brochure. The brochure then became the starting point for Dualit's website redesign.
