About this Copywriter Survey
This is a survey (or census) of all commercial writers (regardless of whether you call yourself a copywriter, brand writer, content designer, content writer, or a UX copywriter – everyone is included).
We run the survey every year or two to help us gauge commercial writers’:
- Fortunes and futures
- Backgrounds and education
- Income and expectations
- Services and specialisms
The report gives us all a clear picture of our profession – so we’re always deeply appreciative of the hundreds of copywriters who take the time to share their story.
The survey began in 2016, and we have published 5 reports to date (we took a break in 2021).
