Ascolta Ltd provides executive consultancy support for education and business sectors, helping to secure growth in times of significant change.
With experience in both government-funding bodies and sizeable further education colleges, Ascolta offer expert support in many areas, from Apprenticeship Levy compliance and contractual requirements to Quality Assurance and Ofsted support.
For this project, I was asked to review the existing Ascolta Ltd website and research Ascolta’s competitors, revise and rewrite several pages and create fresh content for others.

Hadrian’s Wall Country consortium wanted the exhibitions and events organised for Hadrian's Cavalry to have a digital presence. They also asked me to revamp their web Learning section to make it more helpful for students and teachers. Now anyone can access these resources 24/7, from across the globe.
Weston College is one of the leading further education establishments in the west of England. To reflect its standing in the region and reach out to its expanding target audience, the college's website underwent a major re-design.
My task was to produce content for the new site, including landing pages aimed at the college's key audience - school leavers, undergraduates and adult students.
Durham Cathedral were about to start remodelling their website. They wanted to make the content of their 150-plus pages more appealing to their target audiences. These included visitors, regular worshippers, teachers, researchers and potential volunteers.
I acted as temporary web editor remotely for two days a week for four months. I researched similar organisation websites such as York Minster, created content and adapted existing pages, marked up missing areas as well as writing SEO metadata descriptions, streamlining navigation choices and incorporating staff feedback. I then loaded the content onto the new website, checked it and highlighted any issues in the bug log. Afterwards I delivered How to manuals for the staff so they could update the website, as well as delivering a training session on user-friendly web content.
