UK Copywriters Directory - Content design

I help B2B companies figure out what to say, to whom, and in what order - so they can build a strong content brand, gain trust, and generate leads. *B2B technology* is my strong suit. ● Strategic positioning - I build a unique proposition for your company based on a thorough investigation of your product, your market, your competition, and your audience ● Marketing and messaging strategy - I define your key messages and a hierarchy for them ● Content planning - I build editorial calendars and content campaign plans: messaging, pieces, formats, nurture flows ● Copywriting - I’ve got over 10 years experience writing relevant, creative copy that gets read: ebooks, blog posts, infographics, animation scripts, slideshares, promo copy, ads, the works. ● Tone of voice - I can help you find your brand’s tone of voice and train your people to become better writers ● I work in two languages: English and German (ja, echt.) What I don’t do: ● I’m not a designer. I can’t draw, sketch, or design a website - but I have worked with print and digital designers throughout my career. I’m happy to bounce around ideas with yours. ● I’m not a growth marketer or marketing automation specialist, but have worked with some of the best. I’m eager to align with the person who runs your systems so we can get our goals straight and measure the wazoo out of our marketing. What I believe in: ● Defining your goals: A lot of marketing fails because the goals of a piece or campaign get muddled somewhere along the way. Let’s define our goals at the outset, then find a way to measure performance. It’s the only way we’ll be able to find out what sticks - and do more of that. ● Respecting your audience: B2B decision-makers are super-smart professionals who’ve been around the block. They smell drivel from a mile away, and they don’t want to feel they’re being sold to. That’s why the best marketing doesn’t feel like marketing - but is made of rock solid expertise and brings genuine value to your audience. ● A confident tone of voice: 98% percent of all B2B content is anaemic. I believe the only way for B2B companies to stand out is by sounding like human beings, daring to address the things that matter, and having some fun, too. ● Leading with why. We’re all sick of business “thought leaders” quoting Simon Sinek left and right, but he’s got a point. If a company can’t connect what it does to why that matters, your audience will inevitably ask: “so what?” ● Investing in design. I’m the biggest believer in the power of new ideas and fresh language. But we all respond to images and colours first. So if we’ve figured out something good to say, let’s make sure we present it to your audience in an accessible and friendly way. Examples of my work: I’ve worked for a few big names in B2B and many more that you won’t have heard of. Most of the campaigns and pieces would need a bit of context to make sense to you. If you like what you’ve read so far, drop me a line, and I’ll send you some examples that are relevant to your industry, and what you’re trying to do.

I combine over 14-years of professional purchasing and commercial contracting with over 4 years of senior level copywriting experience. As well as being highly creative, I also bring an astute commercial angle to my writing and I love to turn complex concepts into engaging and easy-to-understand content. I thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments and can bring significant experience to manage complex projects. I am a proven team player and provide a much-needed sense of perspective and knowledge base to all my work. I am also adept with providing thought leadership and mentoring to build copy standards. As an avid linguist, I am passionate about language and all things copy. I possess a wide range of content skills; from researching and creating SEO-optimised webpages and websites to engaging blog articles designed to help build a content strategy. As well as my SEO experience, I am also skilled in other long and short form copy types, including customer-facing marketing communications, corporate and community PR. My sector experience ranges from business finance and banking, to championing small businesses, travel and the charity/voluntary sector. Outside of work, I love to volunteer and combine tutoring of French and Spanish alongside organising large-scale community events.

  • Hi there! I’m Toph Heighes. I run a small writing and editorial service called Heighes Editorial, dedicated to helping clients bring their stories to life. My work centres on ghostwriting and self-publishing support, but everything I do is tailored to the individual. No two clients or projects are the same, which is exactly what I love about this work. Strong communication is at the heart of my service. I invest in genuine relationships with my clients and I’m proud that many choose to work with me again after their first project. My ghostwriting services are always fully confidential, offering a safe, trusted space to share your story. My pricing mostly depends on the scale of the project: shorter projects are usually priced per word, while larger or ongoing projects are based on weekly hours. I truly love what I do. Helping people shape their ideas, nurture their stories, and finally hold their finished book in their hands is a privilege that never gets old. If you feel my skills and approach align with what you need, I’d be delighted to hear from you.

  • I specialise in writing copy and content for professional membership organisations, associations, and education providers. Why? Because I love writing for sectors that advocate for life-long learning, development and discovery. And I find that people who work in these sectors are usually really nice! I’ve got a long history working with professional bodies. In fact, I started my career in marketing at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. I moved on to work for student and youth brand, STA Travel, where I honed my writing-for-a-student-audience skills editing the weekly newsletter, running social media campaigns, producing some cracking blog content and managing the eCRM strategy for four global divisions. Since going it alone, I’ve written for clients like the Expert Witness Institute, Chartered Governance Institute, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). I’ve also worked with education provider, Study Group, on email campaigns for Royal Holloway University, University of Strathclyde, and University of Sussex. When I’m not working, you’ll find me attempting to raise two small humans, obsessing over celebrities (the more z-list, the better) and telling myself to go for a run.

  • I’m an accessibility expert helping product and UX teams create content everyone can use. I write inclusive copy and develop visual styles that connect you with your audience. As a freelance content designer, I specialise in creating content that’s genuinely useful and rooted in user experience. From user personas through to user-testing with real people, I use insights from research, search data and lived experience to inform every decision. I don’t rely on assumptions. I ask questions, gather evidence and use what I learn to make content that’s readable, accessible and relevant.

  • My name is Rika Chandra, and I’m your storyteller and pen-for-hire, based in Bromley, Kent. My company, Akuru Ltd, serves as a platform for creative storytelling. My work includes copywriting services for website content, blog articles, case studies, and reports. It also extends to professional bios for LinkedIn or media kits. I also write biographies, bringing personal stories to life. As a ghostwriter, I collaborate closely with clients to capture their voices — whether it's an entrepreneurial journey, crafting memoirs, or preserving cherished family histories for future generations.

  • Do you need words that are, well, less wordy? I think we’re going to get along. I’m a copywriter and content designer on a mission to stamp out crap content and write words that people actually read.

SEO, website design and strategy for service businesses looking for a website that hustles so you can kick back with a cuppa and your fave fantasy fiction novel (or whatever else floats your boat!).

  • Let me write your restaurant menu and then we can engineer it for more profit. Or I can write SEO-optimised website copy. Food, glorious food I focus on menu writing and menu optimisation. The latter is not well known in the UK, but it's a fascinating topic and done well, will make your restaurant more profit. I love the whole restaurant business, and find it fascinating. My last client was a 29 unit chain restaurant in Texas. See my website for more info and client review. Website copy I also specialise in website and SEO-optimised copy for small business owners. I don't have a niche as such. What is more important to me is whether we can work well together, which is why we have a brief chat. I've helped several lifestyle and executive coaches, a milliner, a Japanese knotweed eradicator, a pension fund provider and a restaurant chain in Texas. Give me a call and let's see if we are a good fit.
