Hi there! Thanks for stopping by - my name is Emily Haddington and I'm a senior copywriter and UX writer with more than a decade of experience writing for small to medium companies, start-ups and household brands. Some of my clients have included HSBC, JP Morgan, Vodafone, P&G, TUI, Aquafresh, Taylor Wimpey, Microsoft, Google and Expedia. Sure, I'm a generalist - but to my mind, a good copywriter should be able to write about literally anything. I'm the co-founder of Haddington & Haddington, a Suffolk-based agency offering copywriting and UX writing services alongside AI copy rewrites and humanisation. I run the agency with my husband, David Haddington - an extremely talented web, digital, print and UX/UI designer. (He does a bloomin' good illustration, too). Copywriting I have a wealth of writing experience across a huge variety of sectors. Whether it's creating product descriptions for a small online start-up selling caravan upholstery, or UX copy for mortgage products for household names like HSBC, I can help with any project. Big or small, B2B or B2C. I've helped small local companies in Suffolk to sell more honey by improving their landing page copy, and I've given Marriott Hotels its key tagline for the naming of a luxury new hotel in Budapest. Whatever the copywriting challenge, I'm here to take it on! UX Writing Many copywriters say they're UX writers, but they don't have any UX background or design reputation to back it up. UX writing involves more than being able to write micro-copy for a button, or knowing your way around a wireframe. My agency is fully accredited by qualifications from the UX Design Institute, and we perform user testing and UX research alongside content design. I know the UX design process inside out - from user surveys and competitive benchmarking at the start, through to user flow analysis, affinity diagrams and customer journey mapping, and then user flows, wireframing and prototyping. I've been involved in UX writing projects for large brands such as JP Morgan/Chase, Vodafone and HSBC. AI-to-human copywriting services I’ll take your copy and strip out all the filler, AI buzzwords and jargon. What you’ll get is writing with a warmer tone, clear purpose, and a voice that truly reflects your brand. Gone overboard with ChatGPT? Or maybe that free AI content bot didn’t make the cut? If you’ve ended up with loads of articles that just aren’t converting, I can help. I'm used to rewriting large volumes of AI-generated content that’s missed the mark. Whether it’s product descriptions, service pages, or blog posts, I’ll transform flat, robotic copy into clear, natural content your audience actually wants to read! Get in touch with me today at emily@haddingtoncreative.com

Do you need "brilliant copy" or "excellent content"? Read on to see what my clients say about me and how I can help with original, intelligent and in-depth writing. However big your organisation, I’ll quickly get to grips with your brief, draw together fresh material as needed and produce distinctive copy that stands out. I can help you with thought leadership, articles, blogs, newsletters, emails, press releases, annual reports, sustainability reports, investor communications, web copy, proofreading and copy editing. About me: For many years I was a BBC senior journalist in online and radio, and before that I worked in professional services in executive pay. As a freelancer I’ve written reports and articles for UK and international organisations of all sizes. Client testimonials: Alexandra Dunley, head of marketing and communications at construction company Bouygues UK: "Kate is organised, responsive and ensures she fully understands your brief. She understood our tone of voice and produced some brilliant copy. The team were incredibly pleased with Kate’s work, meaning the project was quick and easy. We will definitely be working with Kate again. "Kate managed to interpret huge amounts of technical information and turn it into digestible text that was enjoyable to read and still showcased the magnitude of the project." Robin Winstanley, Sustainability and External Affairs Manager, Banks Group, regarding a report on the community benefits of Banks’ windfarm developments: "Kate is great to work with – a really excellent listener who quickly understands the key issues which are important to the brief. Importantly she is able to build trust and confidence with the key stakeholders involved which results in good relationships and the delivery of excellent content. "Kate met the goals with speed and to a high standard and was able to add an extra dimension to the content with her experience in relating complex - and often fairly dry - business jargon in a simple and relatable way. "In particular, I feel that Kate did a great job managing the relationships with the key contributors to the report. This is especially important to consider for our projects because the key outcomes for the business within this brief was to influence these relationships in a positive way."

I work with businesses in the travel and hospitality sector, creating web pages, blog articles, email newsletters, brochures, and digital marketing copy. I'll help your brand find its voice, and use it creatively to get your message across. Whether you need a destination page on a region of Malawi, a blog article on how to prepare for a trek in the Peruvian Andes, or want to add a touch of magic to some hotel accommodation listings in Rome, I'm here to help. If you're a start-up or are looking at rebranding, I can also work with you on tone of voice and content strategy to support your business objectives. I began working in the travel industry 23 years ago and have seen it from all angles thanks to roles in sales, marketing, operations, and content management. For the last 13 years I've also been a travel blogger, working with tour operators, accommodation providers, tourist boards, DMCs and gear suppliers to create content and promote their brands. My work has won several travel writing competitions, and it's experience like this that I can use to make your own company stand out from the crowd. I'm based in the beautiful English Lake District, but my clients come from all corners of the world so I'm experienced working internationally, and am comfortable writing in UK, US, or AU English. No matter how big your project, get in touch so we can come up with a world-conquering plan.

Hi, I’m Rob. And I’m a creative leader with 16 years experience of managing the creative process from inception to completion through both my own work and mentoring other members of the team. I have: • Got SSC Napoli to help make deliveries over the busy Christmas period • Helped a lady order her shopping while being attacked by territorial squirrels • Made the nation get excited for the biggest baking event on TV • FINALLY revealed the truth behind why the sky is blue and what, exactly an Arancini ball is • Turned an Echo Dot into a sled • Encouraged school children to write to the Prime Minister • Got mums across the UK sharing motherhood stories on Mother's Day - through a Facebook Canvas ad • Taught 200,000 (and counting) people how to open a bottle of beer using a piece of paper • Turned The Cutty Sark into a photo opportunity as iconic as The Leaning Tower of Pisa • Changed the way women experiment and purchase makeup • Been nominated for awards and won a few too I like to be creative at every opportunity. To that end, in my spare time, (and when not raising a child!) I enjoy photography, illustration, writing (I’ve had a short story published in an eBook compilation of short stories. I’ve also self-published two eBooks) and…gardening.

You'll find me constantly swotting up in an attempt to keep ahead of all things content. 🤖 I specialise in digital content, but I've also got a tonne of experience in print (think menus, magazines & brochures). 💖 Branding & TOV is my bag. I love nothing more than getting under the skin of a brand's voice.

A strategy and tone-of-voice-led copywriting and communications specialist. I believe that every piece of marketing should have a strategy behind it. I work with business owners and agencies to provide a comprehensive approach to their marketing, communications and business strategies. I was a music journalist for ten years, so the required skills of deep research, discretion, and getting a point across without slapping the reader in the face are skills that came in handy when I started copywriting full-time. I also work part-time as Head of Marketing and Operations for a cultural transformation company; I like the team, and the work keeps me up to date with the latest developments and trends in the world of generalist marketing.

I do the words. Usually about science. I’ll take your complex ideas and turn them into words people care about. Words they understand. No jargon. No business bullshit. No cross-vertical innovative solutions and backward synergy overflow. Just words that mean something. Words people remember. You want to be memorable, right? Stand out? Of course you do. Well, I can do that for you. Copy, content, random words or even the occasional scribble – whatever you need. But wait, there’s more! More I tells ya! I can help you think about strategy, how to squeeze the most from your content, how to change the dusty stuff you’ve always done because that’s how you’ve always done it. I’ll give you consulting clout to go along with the words. Copy cred And look, I’ve got credentials: I've been writing since 2011 and sciencing since 2000. I’ve come up with words for for big Pharma, charities and everything in between. I’ve writen for doctors, scientists and patients. I’ve explained stem cells, antibodies and disease, as well as pollution, plastics and proper protocols for the lab. If it’s life-sciencey, I’ve probably written something about it. Things I’ll do I can do ads in fancy journals, donation appeals, serious technical guides, friendly public explainers, tone of voice stuff, hilarious and brilliant blogs, email campaigns that convert, microcopy that matters, social media, internal comms and branding. I like all those things and I’m pretty decent at them to say the least. Things I won’t do Whatever “that” was Meat Loaf wouldn’t do. Oh, and long, boring whitepapers about your paradigm-shifting whatever, the “We’re excited to announce” posts and the content churn just for the sake of it – I don’t do that. I’m here to make you stand out, not sink into the murky marketing depths of crappy copy. Still here, eh? Erm, well, I don’t have any awards or anything to reel off, but I was a finalist in The Majors 2019 Awards for Major Copywriter. Yup, Finalist. That’s almost a winner. So, there’s that.

Hello, I’m Alice. I write creative copy for businesses, saving you time with words that will keep your audience engaged and get your message across clearly. Perhaps you want to update your website or need help writing articles for your company website. Maybe you’re worried you’re not finding the time to write the blog you know your website really needs. Or you’d like an extra pair of hands to review some work that’s already been done. I can help you with: • Blog posts • Articles • Web copy • Ghostwriting • Tone of voice • Proof reading and editing • Website and document reviews Why work with me? I’ll get to know you and your business - so I understand what you need and the most effective way to approach your project. I’m often a sounding board for ideas and I’m always happy to share what I’ve learnt during the decade I’ve worked in communications. My briefing process is straightforward and you’ll have the peace of mind that comes with clear terms and conditions, and a structured writing process. Most important of all, I’ll deliver your work on time and on brief. I’m based in Surrey but work with clients across the UK and beyond. If you’d like to check out my portfolio, or have an idea or project in mind (however fledgling), I’d love to hear from you (alice@alicesolaiman.com / 07738 940727). What my clients say: "Alice worked with us on our website update project, ensuring our brand tone of voice was consistent throughout. She’s able to convert often complex briefing documents into something that resonates with our audience, and is confident finding the balance between flexing the tone to meet the requirements of our team, while also ensuring it sounds like WBD! We’ve been really happy with the work Alice has done for us, and her willingness to adapt to the changing needs of such a large project and the accuracy of her work has made a real impact." Kim Turner - Senior Brand & Communications Manager, Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP “I got in touch with Alice as we needed help with a recruitment project. Alice worked with us to develop landing page copy, an email and pdf flyer. As part of the brief, Alice interviewed one of our members and she quickly got up to speed with our tone of voice and understood what we needed. It was our first time working with Alice, so I was pleased that her work was high quality, she responded quickly to feedback and we were very happy with the outcome.” Ismah Dar, British Dental Association “Alice helped us with our website re-write. She understood the brief and quickly got up to speed with our new tone of voice – writing a large number of lawyer profiles and updating our sector and services pages. Alice kept us updated throughout the process and has been responsive and adaptable to our needs. It’s been a pleasure working with Alice and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.” Deborah Fleming – Marketing & Business Development Director, Walker Morris LLP “Alice is a pleasure to work with – she understood the brief and delivered compelling and engaging copy for my boutique accounting practice supporting female-owned businesses. She was a great sounding board for ideas on what would resonate with my target audience. She always provided drafts in a very timely manner and captured the brand’s tone of voice and our purpose well. I would happily recommend her services to others.” Preesha Chhaya – Founder, Beaver & Bee Chartered Accountants “Working with Alice is an absolute pleasure. Her ability to grasp concept topics quickly and turn them into genuinely engaging and accessible copy is a rare skill – and one I value enormously. I also appreciate her creative input and her willingness to shape and push stories to become greater than the original brief. I cannot rate her highly enough.” Annie Scott – Head of Content and Communications, Schillings
