Hi. Hey. Hello. Finding the right words is tricky. People pay me to play with words. Because words are important. Words can confuse. Raise a smile. Paint a picture. Cause offence, anger. Make you switch off or zone out. Stir emotion. Spark a memory. Engage. Educate. I help brands, clients and small businesses get their message across to the people that need to hear it. I add a human touch, so good ideas don’t go to waste. And in a way that doesn’t make them sound like a corporate robot. Choosing the right words is an art. But more than that, they can help you stand out from your competitors, shape relationships with your customers, even save you pennies (and pennies make pounds). ---------- Kind words... “the sort of mind that I imagine must be able to put together a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle” Leigh is a fab writer. I was lucky enough to manage her while we were working with a large financial company. And during that time, I regularly heard about how she was a solid wordsmith. But also that she was able to absorb and somehow remember the intricacies of the industry. She has the sort of mind that I imagine must be able to put together a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle in her head. But instead of a jigsaw, it's a thousand letters. And she's making sure they all fit together. Lewis Dowling – writer, storyteller, consultant

All things that genuinely interested me. And still do. So it made perfect sense to make these my copywriting niches too. In a way, I'm still creating pictures, only now using words rather than a camera. ✨"Thank you so much, Andrew - this is great! You’ve really nailed the evocative copy we're after. It happens faster than you can think. Quite literally... Before your conscious mind has had the chance to process the information in front of you, your subconscious has already made its calculations. In fact, cognitive scientists say ~95% of our behaviour, emotion, decision-making (and more) depend on brain activity beyond our conscious awareness. 95%! In other words, we're basically running on auto-pilot but use some convincing post-rationalisations to justify our actions... And in over 200,000 years, that's not really changed. We were (and still are) guided by behavioural principles and evolutionary instincts we're not aware of. The outcomes are different, yes - we're not fighting for survival anymore - but the drivers are still very much the same. And once you know what they are (and how to tap into them) influencing behaviour becomes a whole lot easier. You can do it in person, over the phone, online, in writing - it doesn't matter. It all works the same way. And you need it. Just like every other business. How are you going to generate leads... make sales... impress investors... grow your customer base... without it? Winning others to your way of thinking isn't a "nice-to-have". It's a must-have. Especially when it's paired with a product or service that your market is worse off without. In the written realm, the world of copywriting, you need to convince your reader that your product or service is worth the money they're about to pay for it. And, in essence, that's all persuasion is. Showing how good what you have is - and how bad it'll be without it. Push. Pull. Push. Pull. And any copywriter - heck *anyone* - can use that... But the devil is in the details. Just stating facts is too overt. Too obvious. (Think, when was the last time you bought something, knowing you were being persuaded?) Instead, you need to be subtle. Compelling. And slip in under the radar. You need to make your reader feel like they're making this decision themselves. And that's not something just "anyone" can do. Over 70 businesses across the UK have used me to help them win their market to their way of thinking. And I've done so through websites, landing pages, sales pages, emails and social media ads. Together, we've turned hesitant window shoppers into high-paying loyal customers, who not only want to take action... but enjoy coming back for more. Get what your business needs. Message me now. “Lewis is a great copywriter. He has worked on ads and landing pages for us, both delivering fantastic results. He is easy to work with, enjoys collaborating and is always honing his skills. Highly recommended.” -- Stephen Bavister, Director/Founder of LexisClick Growth Consultancy 5 (kinda weird) facts about me: - I like to eat kiwis with the skin on - I'm based near Ipswich, Suffolk - I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Automotive Materials Engineering - I'm on a mission to visit 50 countries before I'm 30 (I've visited 41 so far) - I'm a big fan of RHCP, especially John Frusciante

Highly experienced millennial copywriter and marketing consultant. Read on if you need innovative, finely-targeted copy that works for your chosen audience! I offer all forms of copywriting services (both direct response and brand-led) as well as general marketing consultancy services, either on an ad-hoc or ongoing basis. I am happy to discuss projects in more or less any niche, and have experience of creating high-performing copy for a diverse range of industries and audiences. That said, like most professional copywriters there are a couple of industries and also demographics that I specialise in to a certain extent, due to a combination of both my own interests and extensive experience in copywriting for those niches. In terms of industries, my main area of specialism is within the private healthcare sector, most notably the cosmetic surgery and medical aesthetics field. Secondarily, I also have many years of experience and a huge portfolio of published work for clients in the veterinary and pet/pet care fields; generally pertaining to companion animals like dogs and cats, for both B2C and B2B clients. The target demographics that I find most interesting are also those that many businesses run into problems targeting and resonating with; firstly, millennials. Marketing to millennials and also the smaller, more obtuse grouping known as "xenials" (those born between around 1978 and 1983 and often described as having had an "analogue childhood and digital adulthood") are the demographic groups that I feel that I can claim the best "insider knowledge" of, and experience in targeting. Some of my most popular copywriting services include: • Website content, from landing pages to full site copy. • Blog writing. • SEO content writing for all applications. • Article writing. • Advertorials and promotional/sponsored article creation. • Composing white papers and eBooks. • Writing product descriptions and product category descriptions. • Brochure, leaflet, and poster text. • Brand naming and slogan creation. • Press release writing. • Sales emails and mailshots. So, whether you have a big idea and need a professional copywriter to make it a reality, if you just need a single sales email or blog post, or if you know that your content is failing to convert but don't know how to fix it, I can help. The results that can be achieved with good copywriting are tangible, measurable, and pay for themselves many times over. However, poorly written content or content that isn’t the right fit for your brand and its target audience will cost you clients and revenue. Don’t settle for second best. If you need help with copywriting or content writing and want to work with a responsive professional who delivers targeted, original content within your deadline, every time without fail – get in touch.

The freelance copywriter who writes the words that work wonders. I'm going to level with you. I don't like writing about myself (which is ironic, given that I'm a copywriter). Sure, I could've filled this page with some generic drivel about how great I am. But who wants to read that contrived nonsense anyway? Let's talk about you. You've got a business to run. Clients to win. Products to push. Services to sell. Campaigns to conquer. Brands to build. You need the right words to make things happen. Words that excite. Engage. Inform. Persuade. Words that dance off the page and waltz into the minds of your audience. Words that make them stop, think, and act. The right words work wonders – the wrong words don't work at all. That's why I obsess over them as if my life depends on it. From long-form to short-form, every word counts. Every word has its place. Every. Single. One. So if you're lost for words, let me find them for you. Portfolio: https://jdn.media Email: jamie@jdn.media

Copywriting = Art + Science | Freelance Middleweight | Compelling | Clear | Captivating | Creative | Converts | **Current rate £40 per hour** I’m Tracy, a Gen X, Dorset-based Geordie. If you want your copy to tick all the right boxes, then I’d love to help. I’ve crafted content for big brands, SEO agencies, small start-ups, professional bloggers, and more. My clients are based in the UK, the US, Europe, Australia, and beyond. So switching between UK and US English is second nature. As is adopting - and honing - the right tone of voice (TOV) to suit your target audience and brand identity. Variety is the spice of my working life. I’ve written about everything from accountancy, insurance, and money to clothing, food, lifestyle, parenting, travel, and much more. Once I'd created multiple 200-word product descriptions for continence pads, I found that nothing really fazed me... I have over five years of professional copywriting experience under my belt, and it all began with my own blog. So I know my way around WordPress and social media. Since then, I’ve written for all sorts of specialist websites, including a ton of travel sites. As well as many other commercial enterprises. In the business, I’m what we call a middleweight copywriter. Experienced enough to mean you’re in safe hands, yet fresh enough to ensure creativity and continuous learning. Here’s what I can do for you - and have already done for many contented clients: Update old content Draft press releases Publish regular blogs Hone your tone of voice Tell compelling MSN stories Put together engaging emails Give AI writing the human touch Find keywords for SEO purposes Pen product descriptions that pop Upload posts and pages to WordPress Create landing and sales pages that sell Perfect those social media profiles and posts Compose ads, brochures, leaflets, and posters Write awesome long-form, fact-packed, well-researched articles As well as a whole lot more. I’ve even been known to write poetry and a novel in my spare time. My trio of blogs on food, music, and travel also see me waxing lyrical about my own interests whenever I can. What else? A few facts about me, perhaps. I’m a mum-of-one, I’ve been around the world twice, and I have a lifelong obsession with the band INXS and their Australian homeland. I also have lexical-gustatory synaesthesia, which means that words and names have flavours for me. Well, it all makes the working day more interesting… How about you? If you don’t know what stop words are and why they matter, or how to hide keywords for both flow and SEO, then you don’t need to. All you should know is that I can create compelling, clear, captivating copy that also converts. When you find content writing a real chore, I can save you so much time and stress. Words come naturally to me, which means two things. I love what I do - and I don’t waste any paid time when getting on with the task. Interested? Are you looking for a writer to help you navigate the nuances of sustainability communications? My experience in the field spans more than 15 years and spans three core pillars: • Helping businesses demonstrate honest and measurable impacts through ESG reporting and sustainability-driven communications. • Driving greater corporate transparency by helping sustainability standard setters, certification programmes, and global benchmarks communicate their insights and guidance. • Helping non-profit organisations educate and elicit positive change where it’s needed most in nature and in society. I combine my passion for writing with my unwavering belief that while it takes a collaborative effort from all to drive change, businesses have the real power and influence to spark the societal and environmental transformations needed for a more equitable world. I work with a broad range of commercial organisations and non-profits in the field of sustainable development: NGOs driving tangible change on the ground, non-profits pushing for greater corporate accountability and transparency, and businesses that are serious about managing their environmental and social impacts. Having worked with the global sustainability standard setter, GRI, I understand the impact of transparent, consistent, and comparable reporting in driving change. I’ve written numerous sustainability and ESG reports for organisations spanning sectors including food and beverage, manufacturing, renewable energy and housing development, technology, and financial services. On the non-profit side of things, I’ve worked with The World Benchmarking Alliance, Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, the Value Chain Initiative and SustainCERT, Fair Wear Foundation, and Access to Medicine Foundation. Take a look at my portfolio below, or head over to my website to get more of a feel for my work: www.write-impact.com. Alternatively, drop me a line at sarah@write-impact.com. Whether you're looking for fresh copy for your website, detailed sustainability or ESG impact reports, exploratory white papers, or quick-read blog content across the spectrum of environmental and social topics, I'm here to help!

'Refreshingly different from the usual twaddle.' Or so one of my agency clients tells me. Hey, I’m Laura. I’ve been writing copy and content for well over a decade, parenting a wild child for six years, and failing to tame a crazy hairstyle for a lifetime. I’m a Leeds-based freelance copywriter. Business owners, like you, hire me to write and edit words that give your business personality and make you more money. You’re great at what you do. You’ve got fab ideas, you’re a laugh to be around, and you have a killer business approach that throws shade on your competitors. But if you’re a “synergy-focussed solutions expert with a passion for customer care”, no one’s going to have a bloody clue what you’re on about. Your copy needs to be free from naff jargon, full of personality, friendly to Google, and fire up your customers to think: ‘Hey, it’s YOU I need to buy from.’ But how do you do that? Hire a freelance copywriter and content writer, like me. I’ll save you time, reduce your stress and build your business with the words that sell your stuff to the right people. Nosy at my website for other people's opinions about me and how much I charge (let's be honest, that's what you want to know, right?).

“I’ve always enjoyed writing but I didn’t set up on my own account until 2019. At that point I had been teaching for nearly two decades and had become frustrated with the academy trust to which my then school belonged. I took a plunge and set up as a freelance writer.”

Jo Watson

“I wish we were all more honest when speaking to newer or younger copywriters and telling them what to expect in their career. It’s a hard job, it’s constantly evolving, and it’s still nowhere near as widely respected (as both an art and a science) as it should be.”

“Let your work breathe. While it’s tempting to send over to the client once a piece is ready, I try to give it at least 24 hours (where time allows!) before I go back in, review and send.”
