I help brands find common words to say uncommon things. I’m a freelance strategic copywriter, tone of voice expert and a brand consultant in London. I work with people on the words their brand uses, the voice with which it speaks and how it presents itself to the world. I’m happy to work on one or all three of these things with you. My aim is to clarify and strengthen your brand and its relationships with your customers through smart thinking and writing, with a little bit of magic and logic thrown in. No dumbing down. No talking down. Just common words expressing uncommon things. Straight-to-the-point, easy-to-understand language that conjures up a universe of possibilities. I can help with ideas and copy that capture your audience’s imagination. Honing your tone of voice, reinvigorating your brand positioning, purpose, personality and values and brand naming projects. "Bonnie is a gold-mine! Her knowledge is second to none and she's the loveliest human being. She's passionate, articulate, and really goes the extra mile- a brilliant copywriter" Aimee, Creative and Agency Owner, Bath I reckon there are four questions you’re pondering as you’re browsing all these copywriter profiles. You’ll find the answers to all four riiiight here. Pop an email to bonnie@wordsbybonnie.com if there’s another question swirling about your brain which I’ve missed. ONE: Is she any good? This answer to this question is: yes. I am good. It takes 10,000 hours to be an expert in something. I’ve got a big ol’ tick next to ’10,000 hours of writing, reading, and being a massive word nerd’. I haven’t done the exact maths (numbers are not my thing, tbh) but I’ve been devouring books and storytelling since I was little and I’m now just a smidge over 21. The maths is undeniable. Also put a big ol’ tick next to: 2:1 English degree, bylines in national newspapers, writing for household brands, diplomas in copywriting and digital marketing from everywhere, regular CPD, full-time freelance copywriting since 2021, and a whole bunch of 5-star reviews on Google. TWO: Is she available now-ish?Also yes. We could probably have a call in the next 24 hours if you want to book it (see: website link at the bottom of this page). The “how long til the copywriting is done” question very much depends on what kind of writing you need, what it’s for, how much of it, how many rounds of edits, and if you want to pay for a rush fee. We’ll chat about all of that in the discovery call. THREE: How much does she charge?Less than I’m worth but more than you think. Again, the answer to this question depends on what you want. After we chat I’ll put a proposal together for you. There will be three bespoke packages at three different price points based on what we discussed in the discovery call. I can tell you that I charge a day rate of £425 and I work out how much to charge you based on how many days the project’s going to take. I can handle that much maths, at least. FOUR: How does it work?Ok, it’s really simple but there are a bunch of steps. So, lemme walk you through it. The first step is having a 20ish-minute discovery call to discuss the project, the deadline, the budget, and copy specificsI’ll write a bespoke proposal. Once you accept one, I’ll send a contract and an invoice for 50% of the feeYou complete a questionnaire about your business, tone of voice, and goals. We lock down the briefI start writing, researching, and refining your first draft and send it by the pre-agreed deadlineYou get a full week to review the copy and send me written feedbackI’ll make all the edits and revisions and send you draft two. (This is when the final invoice is due, by the way)Your copy is ready to copy, paste, upload, and share wherever you want it to go! Were those your four questions? They were, weren’t they? Yes! I knew it!

Hey, I'm Joe 👋 co-founder of Do Words Good — a verbal identity and brand copywriting studio for challenger brands. We've been writing copy for challenger brands for over a decade. Homepages, campaigns, product copy, email, pitch decks… the lot. And while we still write a lot of copy, AI has changed the game. We know that your biggest pain point now isn't "who can write this for us?", it's "why does AI make our copy suck?!". That's why most of our time nowadays goes into helping brands figure out their verbal identity. What they sound like, why it keeps drifting, and how to fix it so their whole team (and their AI tools) can write consistently on-brand copy every single time. That usually looks like one of three things: ✅ We write the copy for you, sprints of 1 to 4 weeks, heads down, everything done ✅ We build your voice system — strategy, guidelines, messaging frameworks, the works ✅ We build an AI copybot trained on all the nuances and quirks of your brand voice (Most of the time, it's a mix of all three.) Who we've worked with Discord, Vodafone, OVO Energy, Nursem, Toast Brewing, Animal, Beachbum, Drinkwell, Dr Dent, RNLI — plus almost 300 other brands across DTC, ecommerce, SaaS, hospitality, and B2B. A few wins 👉 Helped grow an ecommerce brand from £5.6M to £25.2M by repositioning and rewriting their copy and brand voice 👉 Helped a brand grow revenue by 78% the quarter after a 4-week copy and messaging sprint 👉 Helped a US brand go from $7M to $38M over a year with fractional copy support What a client said "Jack and Joe were mind readers. They quickly spotted the real customer pain points and reshaped the page in a way that was clear, focused and exactly what we'd hoped for." — Lindsay Newell, Marketing Manager, Nursem We're probably a good fit if: ✅ Your brand has something genuinely brilliant to say, but the copy isn't saying it yet ✅ You want words that sound like you — not like a brief got fed into a template ✅ You're building for the long run and want a verbal identity that grows with you Want to chat? Book a 30-min intro call → or email hello@dowordsgood.com 📬 We also send a weekly newsletter — brand breakdowns, copy frameworks and consumer psychology you can actually use. Read by people at Gousto, Bloom & Wild, LEGO and Toast Brewing. Join the DWG newsletter → "Flippin' love these joy-filled insights. Thank you for so generously opening up your brains." — Louisa Ziane, COO, Toast Brewing

Hello, I’m Alice. I write creative copy for businesses, saving you time with words that will keep your audience engaged and get your message across clearly. Perhaps you want to update your website or need help writing articles for your company website. Maybe you’re worried you’re not finding the time to write the blog you know your website really needs. Or you’d like an extra pair of hands to review some work that’s already been done. I can help you with: • Blog posts • Articles • Web copy • Ghostwriting • Tone of voice • Proof reading and editing • Website and document reviews Why work with me? I’ll get to know you and your business - so I understand what you need and the most effective way to approach your project. I’m often a sounding board for ideas and I’m always happy to share what I’ve learnt during the decade I’ve worked in communications. My briefing process is straightforward and you’ll have the peace of mind that comes with clear terms and conditions, and a structured writing process. Most important of all, I’ll deliver your work on time and on brief. I’m based in Surrey but work with clients across the UK and beyond. If you’d like to check out my portfolio, or have an idea or project in mind (however fledgling), I’d love to hear from you (alice@alicesolaiman.com / 07738 940727). What my clients say: "Alice worked with us on our website update project, ensuring our brand tone of voice was consistent throughout. She’s able to convert often complex briefing documents into something that resonates with our audience, and is confident finding the balance between flexing the tone to meet the requirements of our team, while also ensuring it sounds like WBD! We’ve been really happy with the work Alice has done for us, and her willingness to adapt to the changing needs of such a large project and the accuracy of her work has made a real impact." Kim Turner - Senior Brand & Communications Manager, Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP “I got in touch with Alice as we needed help with a recruitment project. Alice worked with us to develop landing page copy, an email and pdf flyer. As part of the brief, Alice interviewed one of our members and she quickly got up to speed with our tone of voice and understood what we needed. It was our first time working with Alice, so I was pleased that her work was high quality, she responded quickly to feedback and we were very happy with the outcome.” Ismah Dar, British Dental Association “Alice helped us with our website re-write. She understood the brief and quickly got up to speed with our new tone of voice – writing a large number of lawyer profiles and updating our sector and services pages. Alice kept us updated throughout the process and has been responsive and adaptable to our needs. It’s been a pleasure working with Alice and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.” Deborah Fleming – Marketing & Business Development Director, Walker Morris LLP “Alice is a pleasure to work with – she understood the brief and delivered compelling and engaging copy for my boutique accounting practice supporting female-owned businesses. She was a great sounding board for ideas on what would resonate with my target audience. She always provided drafts in a very timely manner and captured the brand’s tone of voice and our purpose well. I would happily recommend her services to others.” Preesha Chhaya – Founder, Beaver & Bee Chartered Accountants “Working with Alice is an absolute pleasure. Her ability to grasp concept topics quickly and turn them into genuinely engaging and accessible copy is a rare skill – and one I value enormously. I also appreciate her creative input and her willingness to shape and push stories to become greater than the original brief. I cannot rate her highly enough.” Annie Scott – Head of Content and Communications, Schillings

Hey, I'm Jack 👋 co-founder of Do Words Good, a copywriting & verbal identity studio for challenger brands. Copywriters-slash-AI-wranglers We've been writing copy for challenger brands for over a decade. We’ve written homepages, landing pages, pitch decks, press releases, OOH campaigns, ads… and we still do write a lot of copy. But truth be told, we spend more of our time nowadays helping brands figure out their verbal identity (AKA, a language system for their brand) and how they can train their team and AI to write like them. (We know. We’re not wild about the term verbal identity either. But it is what it is. It’s basically like brand voice on steroids, it’s not just how you sound, but how you adapt your voice, what you say… In other words, it’s like your brand guidelines that designers use, just for how you write. And it means AI can finally write in your voice.) Want to see one of our brand voice chatbots in action? Book a 30-min demo call or drop us a line at hello@dowordsgood.com Who we've helped: Over the last decade-and-a-bit, we’ve been lucky enough to help: RNLI, OVO, Discord, Vodafone, Merck, Nursem, Toast Brewing, Animal, Beachbum, Drinkwell, plus a few hundred others across DTC, FMCG, SaaS and beyond. A few wins: 👉 Helped grow an ecommerce brand from ~£6M to almost £20M by repositioning + rewriting their site copy 👉 Helped a brand grow sales by 78% after a 4-week copy & messaging sprint 👉 Helped a US brand go from $7M to $38M over a year with verbal identity development and on-going copy support 👉 Built AI copywriting tools that let brands produce on-brand social, email and PDP copy at scale "An absolute game-changer… hugely transformational for us as a brand" "Working with Jack and Joe has been an absolute game-changer for us. Not only are our sales way up, but they really helped us nail who we are as a brand, how we should sound and gave us a brand voice & messaging playbook (and AI copybot) that our whole team have used to make everything we do unified and on-brand. The whole thing was hugely transformational for us as a brand. Highly recommend." Max Reynolds, Founder, Beachbum We're probably a good fit if: ✅ You need copy written and want it to actually sound like your brand ✅ Your messaging is starting to feel a bit "held together with tape" ✅ You want your team (or your AI tools) to write on-brand without briefing a copywriter every time ✅ You're building for the long run and care about having a voice that holds up How we work: We run most projects as 1, 2 or 4-week sprints. That's because we've been doing this for over a decade and know that once a project goes on too long, it gets sanded down and signed off so that it's fine but nobody really loves it. Instead, we get aligned early, maintain momentum through a few clear review points and get our heads down. That way, you end the sprint with something signed off and exactly how you want your brand to sound. Want to chat? Book a 30-min intro call — or drop us a line at hello@dowordsgood.com 📬 PS. We send weekly copy tips (every Tuesday): Join the DWG newsletter for brand breakdowns, consumer psych, and frameworks you can pinch. Read every week by legends at brands like Gousto, Bloom & Wild, LEGO and Toast Brewing. "Flippin' love these joy-filled insights. Thank you for so generously opening up your brains." — Louisa Ziane, COO @ Toast Brewing
