In energy and B2B tech, the most innovative products are often the hardest to communicate. I help buyers understand how your solution solves business challenges. Whether I’m working with you on thought leadership content, website copy, or a case study, my strategic approach begins where your solution and customer priorities intersect. Here's how I can help you: ✅ Thought leadership content that turns your technical expertise into articles, white papers, and LinkedIn content that builds trust and recognition with buyers. ✅ Case studies that show how your solution works in the real world and the difference it’s made for your customers. ✅ Strategic Copywriting that helps buyers see why your solution is right for them in web pages, landing pages, and promotional copy. I specialise in: ✅ B2B tech & SaaS brands: Writing on topics that include IT consultancy, cybersecurity, and IT architecture. ✅ Energy sector and renewables: Writing on topics that include retail energy pricing, energy capacity markets, demand flexibility, integration (iPaaS), and grid connection backlogs. With more than eight years’ experience working with energy and B2B tech businesses, I combine strong sector knowledge with a strategic background. Before becoming a freelance copywriter, I spent seven years at a London advertising agency, running brand strategy and idea-generation workshops for clients including Kellogg's, Heinz and Interbrew. Clients value my: ✅ Clear, straightforward writing that helps buyers understand your expertise and value ✅ Strategic thinking grounded in your customers’ challenges and priorities ✅ Ability to quickly get to grips with complex topics ✅ Reliability and, in the words of one client, being ‘genuinely easy to work with’ Here’s what clients say it's like to work with me: “Sarah is a detail-oriented writer whose creativity and writing style boost our ability to transform our technical solution content and expertise working with utilities worldwide into meaningful thought leadership stories and technical blog posts." Frederik ten Sythoff, VP Market Engagement, Greenbird IT (Now Part of GE Vernova) "It’s been a pleasure working with Sarah during her time with us as paternity leave cover. Sarah consistently delivered high-quality written work, often with only minimal briefing. She adapted to our tone and style with impressive speed and was always receptive to feedback, turning around amends promptly. On top of that, she’s punctual, communicative, and genuinely easy to work with — a great asset to any content team!" Guste Stephens, Head of Marketing, Gorilla Energy Data Applications "I had the pleasure of working with Sarah for six months during the lead-up to our Green Coding Summit, and I can't recommend her enough. Sarah has an incredible talent for translating complex topics into clear, engaging content that resonates with a broad audience. She was instrumental in creating high-quality articles, social media posts, and promotional materials for the SDIA, consistently delivering on time—even under tight deadlines." 'Refreshingly different from the usual twaddle.' Or so one of my agency clients tells me. Hey, I’m Laura. I’ve been writing copy and content for well over a decade, parenting a wild child for nine years, and failing to tame a crazy hairstyle for a lifetime. I’m a Leeds-based freelance copywriter. Business owners, like you, hire me to write and edit words that give your business personality and make you more money. They also hire me to run workshops and train their teams to improve their writing and feel confident creating content. My clients are great at what they do. But they need to show that with jargon-free, personality-packed copy, free from AI waffle and full of original ideas that sell their stuff to the right people. That’s where I come in. I’ve worked with some big bods, like Marriott Hotels, Netflix, Department of Health NI, and The University of Leeds, and supported SMEs, such as accountancy practices, non-profits and marketing agencies. Nosy at my website and my LinkedIn profile to find out what other people think about me and how much I charge (let's be honest, that's what you want to know, right?).

I'm a beauty and health copywriter, ghostwriter, journalist and fractional consultant with 10 years' experience. I approach storytelling like a journalist and commercial strategy like a marketer. My portfolio includes: L'Oréal, Sciton, Eucalyptus, Freesoul, Rimmel, Dr Sam's, The Skin Diary, The Body Shop, Project E, Allure, Marie Claire, Glamour, and plenty of other gems. Sure, I can write about most topics, but beauty and aesthetics are my beat. If you want a copywriter you don't need to explain retinoids to, I'm your gal. Let's chat about: Emails that convert, ads that sell, articles that get read, SEO/GEO that gets seen and packaging copy that stands out. __ Selling is only hard when you forget to be a human🌞 Some nice words from clients: "We place a strong emphasis on brand messaging, and Tori has been exceptional in crafting content that truly resonates with our brand, vision, and customers. She quickly grasped our brand's tone of voice and consistently brings unique and valuable insights from her background as a journalist. Tori has proven to be an invaluable member of our team, and we look forward to continuing our work with her." "Tori is one of the greatest beauty writers I have ever come across in all my time of working in the aesthetic industry. Hey, I'm Jack 👋 co-founder of Do Words Good, a copywriting & verbal identity studio for challenger brands. Copywriters-slash-AI-wranglers We've been writing copy for challenger brands for over a decade. We’ve written homepages, landing pages, pitch decks, press releases, OOH campaigns, ads… and we still do write a lot of copy. But truth be told, we spend more of our time nowadays helping brands figure out their verbal identity (AKA, a language system for their brand) and how they can train their team and AI to write like them. (We know. We’re not wild about the term verbal identity either. But it is what it is. It’s basically like brand voice on steroids, it’s not just how you sound, but how you adapt your voice, what you say… In other words, it’s like your brand guidelines that designers use, just for how you write. And it means AI can finally write in your voice.) Want to see one of our brand voice chatbots in action? Book a 30-min demo call or drop us a line at hello@dowordsgood.com Who we've helped: Over the last decade-and-a-bit, we’ve been lucky enough to help: RNLI, OVO, Discord, Vodafone, Merck, Nursem, Toast Brewing, Animal, Beachbum, Drinkwell, plus a few hundred others across DTC, FMCG, SaaS and beyond. A few wins: 👉 Helped grow an ecommerce brand from ~£6M to almost £20M by repositioning + rewriting their site copy 👉 Helped a brand grow sales by 78% after a 4-week copy & messaging sprint 👉 Helped a US brand go from $7M to $38M over a year with verbal identity development and on-going copy support 👉 Built AI copywriting tools that let brands produce on-brand social, email and PDP copy at scale "An absolute game-changer… hugely transformational for us as a brand" "Working with Jack and Joe has been an absolute game-changer for us. Not only are our sales way up, but they really helped us nail who we are as a brand, how we should sound and gave us a brand voice & messaging playbook (and AI copybot) that our whole team have used to make everything we do unified and on-brand. The whole thing was hugely transformational for us as a brand. Highly recommend." Max Reynolds, Founder, Beachbum We're probably a good fit if: ✅ You need copy written and want it to actually sound like your brand ✅ Your messaging is starting to feel a bit "held together with tape" ✅ You want your team (or your AI tools) to write on-brand without briefing a copywriter every time ✅ You're building for the long run and care about having a voice that holds up How we work: We run most projects as 1, 2 or 4-week sprints. That's because we've been doing this for over a decade and know that once a project goes on too long, it gets sanded down and signed off so that it's fine but nobody really loves it. Instead, we get aligned early, maintain momentum through a few clear review points and get our heads down. That way, you end the sprint with something signed off and exactly how you want your brand to sound. Want to chat? Book a 30-min intro call — or drop us a line at hello@dowordsgood.com 📬 PS. We send weekly copy tips (every Tuesday): Join the DWG newsletter for brand breakdowns, consumer psych, and frameworks you can pinch. Read every week by legends at brands like Gousto, Bloom & Wild, LEGO and Toast Brewing. "Flippin' love these joy-filled insights. Thank you for so generously opening up your brains." — Louisa Ziane, COO @ Toast Brewing

I'm Jess, a professional writer and editor with over 15 years' experience, and a provider of flawless copy in good journalistic style. I'm particularly good at writing about complex business models and technology in layman's terms. I've been told: “You're the only journalist who's written about our product and actually grasped what it's all about.” I've also heard: “You have a gift for writing about boring stuff and making it sound interesting.” Writing is what I do. For nine years I was features editor on the B2B bus and coach magazine routeone, and then editor of its sister magazine Group Tourism & Travel, visiting and writing about businesses from all sorts of angles – tight-knit family links, clever innovations, business longevity – always with the intention of showcasing to other business leaders how they could adopt bits of best practice. Since those days I’ve turned my hand to freelance B2B copywriting, quickly becoming an expert in topics from eCommerce and manufacturing to lead generation and account-based marketing. My focus is always on my client’s USPs, and what makes their business such a great choice for its customers. If you want truly outstanding copy that highlights what only you as a business can do - and for a great rate - drop me an email: jessamy.chapman@outlook.com

I'm a freelance copywriter on a mission to make pensions, investment and finance more interesting and engaging for ordinary people. Hire me to write clear, compelling plain English content that helps people understand more about pensions, investment and finance in general, and make better decisions about their lives. I spent 19 years as a copywriter with the Aon UK Communication Practice. I’ve written more pension newsletters than I could shake a stick at - including summary funding statements - as well as letters, emails, websites, booklets, presentations, video scripts, business pitches and award entries. I’ve worked on a lot of highly personalised items such as benefit statements. More recently I've worked on a lot of online communications, including a website to help people plan and prepare for their retirement. My experience covers all flavours of DB and DC pensions including communications from trustee boards and employers. Here's a selection of the subjects I deal with. DC investment education Pension scams Pensions and tax GMP reconciliation and equalisation DB-to-DC change consultations Changing RPI increases to CPI In recent years I developed a set of communications for explaining liability management offers such as pension increase exchange and enhanced transfer. When I'm not writing about pensions, my interests include: singing and acting with a couple of local am-dram societies, singing in a church choir, running, swimming, skiing, sampling as many different craft beers as possible and attempting to grow fruit and vegetables with varying degrees of success.
