I help founders and marketers figure out what their brand believes, and translate that into words and ideas audiences can’t resist. Simple in theory. Miraculous in practice.

You're selling a decision. A decision to buy – or not to. And such decisions happen faster than you can think. Quite literally. You see, before your conscious mind has had the chance to process, your subconscious has already made its calculations. In fact, cognitive scientists say ~95% of our behaviour, emotion, decision-making (and more) depend on brain activity beyond our conscious awareness. 95%! In other words, we're basically running on autopilot. And using some (very) convincing post-rationalisations to justify our actions... In over 200,000 years, that's not really changed. We were (and still are) guided by behavioural principles and evolutionary instincts we're not fully aware of. The outcomes are different, yes - we're not fighting for survival anymore - but the drivers are still very much the same. They're hardwired into us. And once you know what they are (and how to tap into them) influencing behaviour becomes a whole lot easier. You can do it in person, over the phone, online, in writing - it doesn't matter. It all works the same way. And you need it. Just like every other business. Because... How are you going to generate leads... make sales... launch new products... impress investors... grow your customer base... without changing behaviour? Winning others to your way of thinking isn't a "nice-to-have". It's a must-have. Especially when you have a product or service that genuinely helps the people in your market. In the written realm, i.e. the world of copywriting, you need to convince your readers that your product or service is worth the money they're about to pay for it. And, in essence, that's all persuasion is: Highlighting how your offering benefits your reader – and agitating how bad life will be without it. Push. Pull. Push. Pull. And any copywriter – heck, *anyone* – could follow that approach... But the devil is in the details. Just stating facts is too overt. Too obvious. (Think, when was the last time you bought something, knowing you were being persuaded?) Instead, you need to be subtle. Compelling. And slip in under the radar. You need to make your readers feel like they're making this decision themselves. And that's not something just "anyone" can do. Over 75 businesses across the UK have used me to help them win their market to their way of thinking. And I've done so via websites, landing pages, sales pages, emails and social media ads. Together, we've turned hesitant window shoppers into high-paying loyal customers, who not only want to take action... but enjoy coming back for more. So, get what your business needs. Message me now. “Lewis is a great copywriter. He has worked on ads and landing pages for us, both delivering fantastic results. He is easy to work with, enjoys collaborating and is always honing his skills. Highly recommended.” -- Stephen Bavister, Director/Founder of LexisClick Growth Consultancy 5 (kinda weird) facts about me: - I like to eat kiwis with the skin on - I'm based near Ipswich, Suffolk - I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Automotive Materials Engineering - I'm on a mission to visit 50 countries before I'm 30 (I've visited 46 so far) - I'm a big fan of RHCP, especially John Frusciante

So, you're wondering if I have the credentials to work with your company? I'd say so... For over 15 years I've worked with brands across tech, culture, charities, education and design. I've also worked alongside some lovely PR agencies and marketing firms along the way. I'm a contributor to Design Week, a University of Sheffield graduate and a Mini MBA in Marketing alumna. I understand not just how to write, but why certain words work harder than others. Alongside my copywriting work, I'm also a published journalist. My work includes a featured interview with the co-founders of the first Scottish design studio to receive B Corp status, and an exclusive conversation with Alex Giles, who created the 2026 Brit Awards identity. I grew up with The Famous Five, The Faraway Tree and The Secret Garden. I love to read, I love to write, and I find people genuinely fascinating. Maybe it's that curiosity that drives everything I do in this job. If you're looking for copy that sounds like you on your best day, drop me a message.

I'm Jess, a professional writer and editor with over 15 years' experience, and a provider of flawless copy in good journalistic style. I'm particularly good at writing about complex business models and technology in layman's terms. I've been told: “You're the only journalist who's written about our product and actually grasped what it's all about.” I've also heard: “You have a gift for writing about boring stuff and making it sound interesting.” Writing is what I do. For nine years I was features editor on the B2B bus and coach magazine routeone, and then editor of its sister magazine Group Tourism & Travel, visiting and writing about businesses from all sorts of angles – tight-knit family links, clever innovations, business longevity – always with the intention of showcasing to other business leaders how they could adopt bits of best practice. Since those days I’ve turned my hand to freelance B2B copywriting, quickly becoming an expert in topics from eCommerce and manufacturing to lead generation and account-based marketing. My focus is always on my client’s USPs, and what makes their business such a great choice for its customers. If you want truly outstanding copy that highlights what only you as a business can do - and for a great rate - drop me an email: jessamy.chapman@outlook.com

I specialise in making the unglamourous irresistable. And I have plenty of experience humanising AI drafts created by my clients using Google Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude or similar. Niche areas of work include the care sector, property & construction, and industry supply chains, plus fintech, education, and travel. I have clients throughout the UK, plus others in Europe and the Middle East. I'm comfortable writing in American as well as British English. People come to me for copy and content for websites, eBooks, and longer ghost writing projects - and blogs that have something interesting to say. I'll work with or without AI, depending on client preference. My background includes a law degree, over ten years in the long haul travel industry and nearly twenty years teaching. For more information, have a look at my website (which includes a link to my portfolio), or just give me a call. I'll be happy to explain in more detail how I can help your business thrive. If you've sent me a message I will always reply, so if you're waiting on an answer please also check your spam folder.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by - my name is Emily Haddington and I'm a senior copywriter and UX writer with more than a decade of experience writing for small to medium companies, start-ups and household brands. Some of my clients have included HSBC, JP Morgan, Vodafone, P&G, TUI, Aquafresh, Taylor Wimpey, Microsoft, Google and Expedia. Sure, I'm a generalist - but to my mind, a good copywriter should be able to write about literally anything. I'm the co-founder of Haddington & Haddington, a Suffolk-based agency offering copywriting and UX writing services alongside AI copy rewrites and humanisation. I run the agency with my husband, David Haddington - an extremely talented web, digital, print and UX/UI designer. (He does a bloomin' good illustration, too). Copywriting I have a wealth of writing experience across a huge variety of sectors. Whether it's creating product descriptions for a small online start-up selling caravan upholstery, or UX copy for mortgage products for household names like HSBC, I can help with any project. Big or small, B2B or B2C. I've helped small local companies in Suffolk to sell more honey by improving their landing page copy, and I've given Marriott Hotels its key tagline for the naming of a luxury new hotel in Budapest. Whatever the copywriting challenge, I'm here to take it on! UX Writing Many copywriters say they're UX writers, but they don't have any UX background or design reputation to back it up. UX writing involves more than being able to write micro-copy for a button, or knowing your way around a wireframe. My agency is fully accredited by qualifications from the UX Design Institute, and we perform user testing and UX research alongside content design. I know the UX design process inside out - from user surveys and competitive benchmarking at the start, through to user flow analysis, affinity diagrams and customer journey mapping, and then user flows, wireframing and prototyping. I've been involved in UX writing projects for large brands such as JP Morgan/Chase, Vodafone and HSBC. AI-to-human copywriting services I’ll take your copy and strip out all the filler, AI buzzwords and jargon. What you’ll get is writing with a warmer tone, clear purpose, and a voice that truly reflects your brand. Gone overboard with ChatGPT? Or maybe that free AI content bot didn’t make the cut? If you’ve ended up with loads of articles that just aren’t converting, I can help. I'm used to rewriting large volumes of AI-generated content that’s missed the mark. Whether it’s product descriptions, service pages, or blog posts, I’ll transform flat, robotic copy into clear, natural content your audience actually wants to read!
